Before I start this review I want you to know that I am a weak man, when it comes to a cute slice of life anime.
That being said let's get this review underway
On a quest to watch all the anime I've missed that are considered great over the years Blend S was on my list. I wasn't sure what to expect from this anime as I hadn't looked into it in too much depth, all I knew is that they follow a character and worked in a maid cafe. So what does this entail? in the cafe - this determines how they interact with customers such as a big sister character, or a sadistic approach. The show shows these characters all interacting with each other during and out of work in what I think is a truly nice blend of showing a group of co-workers becoming friends.
The show mostly is from Maika's perspective, she's a cheerful character who can't help looking at anyone with a sadistic glare. Overall she is sweet but clumsy meaning she often causes accidents that fit within the characteristic she is roleplaying.
Blend S is a slice of life, without much of a complex plot. It's just showing the group's everyday goings in different situations.
"Smile, Sweet, Sister, Sadistic, Surprise, Service"
No doubt you have seen this on various memes, and you are greeted with it upon watching the show. You will understand what this means when you begin the show. However, I can say that the show does make you smile, it's a sweet show following characters such as sister and sadistic that was a surprise to me. I didn't know what to expect but I still had a lot of fun watching this slice of life.
I struggled with the rating for this, it went from an eight to a nine then finally to a ten. Like I first mentioned this is primarily because I am a weak man for this particular formula of anime - just look at my Chuunibyou review and you'll see what I mean. Maybe once the hype has died down a little from only just watching it I'll drop it to a nine, but as of now, I feel like it has rightfully earned its place.
If you like cutesy anime, that is lighthearted, fun and can give you a smile you'll love this.

High school DxD saw the harem/ecchi formula and decided to make a high-quality one, even the intro animations and song is amazingly done.
While a lot of animes in this category are generic, DxD actually has a compelling story, they just decided to also throw boobs into the mix. From what starts a "I'm going to watch this for the meme." turns into you cheering the characters on during their battles and personal struggles.
You get to see them grow, struggle and bleed as they attempt to slowly find their place within their world. They all have something they're fighting for, their own goals are be it

to protect loved ones or revenge.
I don't often watch Harem anime, but I enjoyed this one. And this was probably one of the first ones I ever watched. The animation and art quality to this day still holds up, this anime has aged incredibly well. As you could believe its a recent one.
Basically, if you like demons, romance and action you'll probably like this anime. If you like boobs that's also an added bonus but you can watch the censored version if not.

Entering the world the real world is hard, I know this, you know this, and Chuunibyou knows this. Its why they have a way to escape the harsh realities o life and they plan on taking you along or that adventure.
What I originally thought was going to be a funny, light-hearted series gave me so much more than that, not only does it meet that criteria it shows so much more. It shows you the life of people struggling to accept reality, and people who struggle to act in touch with reality and 'normal'. This is your typical high school full of drama, romance,
...
and delusions.
What makes this anime stand out to me? Well, it shows us a true romance anime. It shows us a lot of innocence and people struggling to get by, struggling with their emotions, remember these are young adults - who are still in school meaning they don't have much lie experience, and this anime shows that well.
Overall If you enjoy romance animes - mixed with some comedy I would fully recommend this show.

I see a lot of posts what praise this like: "OMG Jojo best anime big man yes" while in reality, it is a boring anime that is as repetitive as it gets. Many people like it because it brings back the 'macho' character back like the old style of anime and movies. I have seen a few of these and let me tell you this is so poorly done. I stuck at this because I got told it gets better but each episode is the exact same, the only saving grace is the music.

Story 1/10:
Like I stated above, nothing impressive, very basic shitty story. They need to hire better writers.
Art 7/10:
While nothing majorly spectacular the art is pretty good, not much to say here. It's not bad, its not amazing its just kind of there in a way.
Sound 9/10:
Sound is good, it has a really good soundtrack, that's the only thing I can realise consider great in this anime.
Character 3/10:
Refer to nipple problem... The characters are all the EXACT same, some are better than others however so I suppose not the EXACT but you get the idea. Not really much to go on but it all boils down too, IM BIG, I HAVE JO IN MY NAME, I DONT LIKE YOU, etc.
Enjoyment 1/10:
Personal enjoyment is low, this is really not my thing but many people seem to like it so hey, don't listen to the review go and get your own opinion.
Overall 3/10:
I don't like it, I think it's terrible but, I know many people who like it. In my opinion, it is very very overrated. I feel like that's why I dislike it, I feel that if I was introduced to it without the high expectation of it being amazing I may have liked it - but instead I got a bunch of people telling me it is the best anime in existence which made me HATE it because I constantly hear about this god awful anime. I think its trash, you may like it, why are you reading this try it.
