I'll keep it brief:

The most isekai ever-but HEY this time with a talking sword and a cute catgirl.
There. That's it.

Music is ok. Not distracting and the opening is pretty good.
Animation is ok. Nothing to say about it.
Story is eh. Sword that can absorb abilities (and have seemingly infinite mana) from creatures teams up with a catgirl who wants to be strong.
Worldbuilding is generic and bad. Typical isekai world with barely anything noteworthy.
MCs are ok 👍. Their motivations are decent enough, and the character dynamic is not terrible either.

I appreciate that it's not very ecchi, a rare and sadly noteworthy characteristic amongst other much more horny, down-bad authors.

On the other hand, it was disappointing that the show avoided going a darker route which it could've easily edged towards given that some darker subplots were introduced. Ex. Could've explored the trauma of Fran's slave history more, and (Disappointingly light spoiler:) Fran having her hands cut off only to be healed a few minutes later. Could've been a lot more gruesome and the stakes would've been higher, hence making it more interesting--but no she was healed within minutes entirely with 0 repercussions. Author could've also had Fran struggle with the fact that she's endured so much at a very young age and that would be good. Anyways, so much more could've been done, but it suffers from the fate of most isekais: being generic sells, so why try harder?

Overall: Generic but if you really don't have any better isekai to watch and you like catgirls, then sure? Go ahead and watch.

5/10 for being pretty generic and not doing anything that stands out.

Felt compelled to write a review because none of these reviews are taking into consideration the mess of an arc that was the last one. But anyways here goes. [TL;DR at the bottom]

Art: 8/10

Very solid art. One of the two reasons I will continue reading this manga. The character designs are very fresh, and Nazuna is a bit of a fashion queen sometimes I will admit. The backgrounds are incredibly intricate and overall the artstyle is just incredibly satisfying and pleasant to look at. You can definitely tell the mangaka put his time into the details with the art. Very well done.

Character: 6/10

I'm conflicted. I ... would've given this a 7.5 if it weren't for new 'detective' character but yeah.

Most characters are well made. Nazuna and Yamori are decent enough and their relationship is really satisfying to see develop (and it's also incredibly cute). All characters have unique personalities and interesting qualities which is definitely good, but again with the last arc, the new 'detective' makes very very questionable decisions that really get me thinking, "After all this time, THAT was the plan she devised?"

Story: 4/10

Oh boy.

I will say up until the start of the last new arc in Chapter. 55, the story I think was at a healthy position. We got introductions to new characters and their whole dynamic, as well as a lot of insight into Nazuna and MC-kuns relationship as it grew. But at the end of this 'detective' arc, holy shit I was destroyed. I kinda facepalmed many times and I was left with many, many, MANY questions about our good ol' detectives decision making and thought process behind her actions.
The mangaka tried to really build her up, and her motivations and I think he did a good job of executing this with her backstory, but goddamn her plan was just fucking stupid at the end.

That said, we did get a lot of insight into multiple characters throughout which was definitely nice to see, but yeah the ending of it really left me shook lol.

TL;DR/Overall:

Man if only the mangaka took more time to write the last arc (which lasted nearly 50 chapters), I could've easily given this an 8 or maybe even a 9. (Most) of the characters were really solid and their romance interactions were (and are) still cute and wholesome.

Good read if you want some wholesome vampire/human romance with very beautiful art and character design, and just uhhh try to fill in all the plotholes n shitty character writing later on with your imagination to get the full enjoyment.

Even tho the last arc left a sour taste in my mouth, Nazuna and Kou are just too cute together for me to drop :)

6/10
