I am only writing this because of how many bad reviews there are. Anyway, this was amazing. There is no holding back a true anime, honestly, I hate Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken and a growing majority of anime in this genre due to how filtered they are or how dumb they are take Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken for example if I watched it when I first started watching anime I probably would've never watched another because it seemed like an over exaggerated (forgive me) cartoon because anime is about going beyond limits and be more mature this had the gore and other mature ... aspects but kept a sense of light-heartedness sure it had some plot holes but nothing big and it didn't get overloaded with light-heartedness or stupidity like a lot of isekais lately (looking at you "I parry everything") and it was honestly kinda nice having more depth with the friendships and growth. so in conclusion after that rant sorry BTW I would recommend just don't have high hopes.

I do admit I am rating this a tad high but its mainly out of thankfulness of it being more mature and being a good time

when I first started it and he didn't realize he was OP I was so annoyed and planned on dropping it BUT I am so happy I didn't they explained why he thought that and he ACTUALLY HAD COMMON SENSE and figured it out and the show wasn't centered on his depression of being weak or his strength it actually had depth every character did which was so refreshing after "I parry everything" this was 100x better than that this is how that mc should've been I admit it had its weak points but compared to everything that has been getting released in this genre ... lately those issues are small.

so this is a story about a boy who wants to become an adventurer and he never stops training, by the time he does become an adventurer he is OP but HE IS SO DENSE AND A TOTAL AIRHEAD which really ruined it for me it had such great potential but per usual with this style, they make the MC so dense that a rock would feel bad I loved everything else just that one thing dragged the whole series down for me.

I really enjoyed the combat and the view of him from other points of view but hearing his thoughts and just seeing how ... dense and insecure he is. It just really screws this up and it is such a common mistake too I want a show like this but the MC learns how OP he is by battling.

The last episode is the best. The kid is smarter than the adult, and the way this episode is laid out is a masterpiece. If only they had used this style throughout the whole thing.

I can't say too much because I couldn't finish it but I will speak on what I did see people say Isekai is over-saturated, overdone, and
boring but I don't believe that. I think Isekai is getting pushed out by brain-rot versions like this I have a rule while watching anime lately if the beginning doesn't catch my eye then it is a waste and this was lacking in energy, good jokes, and if an Isekai doesn't have those then it should be dark and edgy with a cool feel but this lacked all of these. The episodes I watched were a chore to ... even get through.

So this is something that exists but hard to say anything except: "What did I just watch?" I was dying laughing through most of it but the kissing zombie arc was drawn out but it was fun and cliche and just a good time.

One of the biggest issues I had was with Karane, and Hakari I feel like that was just too much seemed like every few episodes they ended up kissing thinking it was Rentarou or some other weird reason I get that they were doing that because of the whole starter episode thing and wanted to modernize it but every time it happened ... it seemed like an illegal action because they thought it was Rentarou but I digress.

Was extremely well put together I loved the stereotypes and the breaking of the fourth wall and how I ended up guessing the mother part of the plot before it happened it was priceless it was just all around a good time and can't wait for season 2.


Side Note: I would recommend this BUT NOT TO THE FAINT OF HEART if you're just going in for the comedy aspect you'll probably be let down but if you enjoy harem animes and rom-com style watch it But be warned it is over the top in every way
