It could have scored "great"
in myanimelist scoring system IF it wasn't for the manga
Silmply the manga is a lot more better than the tv series
The first 12 episodes were really good and were following the footsteps of the manga exactly
The mess started from episode 13 when the scenario started to deviate from the manga
The battles got displaced and became less exciting and more dull (except for the final fight between Esdeath and Akame which was really awesome and more thrilling than the manga)
And the love triangle in the manga between Esdeath, Tatsumi, and Mine became polygon with roughly unlimited number of sides which was ... really gross to watch
The rapid pace of the anime, it was roughly like a single whole separate story or occasion every single episode, which was somehow annoying

Simply, I felt like the anime was more like a rapid arbitrary summary and conclusion to the manga
They should have just waited the manga to end or simply split the series into two seasons

I didn't like this series at all
My reasons are the following:
I felt like it was meant for children
Because you know there is a lot of childish stuff in it
For example: Everything gets done so smoothly and easily like when tomori thretened the mamager of misa in order to protect her if I remember correctly
(It was the most childish scene of the anime)
The nosebleed Ayumi gets whenever she sees kurobane is another example
When I begin watching the 13 episode of the anime, I decided to give the Anime another chance to prove itself because it looked like a starting of a new arc full of action, ... energy strategy, blood, and fights and some other stuff
But sadly again all the fights ended in a ONE single childish episode with only ONE hero playing the game

There is no doubt that the story is pretty good and touching
But the scenario and events were so childish
I think that if this anime was reproduced with more blood and violence and more episodes and characters involved in the final arc (when yuu went on a mission to rip all the supernatural powers of every wielder in the world) it will hit the great or even the masterpiece score in myanimelist scoring system
