HONTONI GOMENASAI FOR THE LATE UPDATE *ON KNEES BEGGING FOR FORGIVENESS*
THE SECOND IMPRESSION: I WILL EDIT AGAIN AT THE END (MY OPINION HASN'T CHANGED TOO MUCH BUT IT MIGHT LATER) TRY NOT TO MARK UNHELPFUL UNTIL MY FINAL UPDATE ^_^
Chihuahua Review(short&sweet): Clannad After Story retains the reputation seen by most sequals, it has the same great quality as the original but so far is still without the WOW factor.
------------------------------>In Depth Review:<------------------------
STORY: Its end of the school arc for Tomoya and now the plot resumes with his after story. Beginning with the same fun antics as seen in the original,
...
the plot takes a deeper, more mature take on the Clannad cast. Focusing in on life after school, the trials of the real world is portrayed with emphasis on Tomoya. The flurry of comedy, along with appearances from Sunohara and friends begin to slim but its expected for them to return.
ART: Art is epicly amazing as usual (well it is KyoAni lol). There seems to be a little more CG effects this time around but nothing that really stands out or takes away from the character and background designs. The big shiny detailed eyes each character has is still my favorite aspect of the animation. I did sorta notice they used more of a darker tone of colors this time.
SOUND: The only characteristic that I'm not really impressed with. The opening is not the greatest or the most catchiest but its there and it suits the anime for the most part. I kinda wished for a little bit more of an upbeat tempo but I'm still getting used to it ^_^ The ending song isn't bad but, still not enough to make me stop fast forwarding past it >_< Ill probably get hooked to the songs eventually so don't take my opinion for this too seriously.Surprisingly the creators decided to use the same background music from the first season but then again it can change the mood of the story in an instant.
CHARACTER: Not as much character development as would be expected half way through the series but it does provide fun and deep character interactions. The emotional hurdles are probably going to be seen in the second half but so far, I've been able to laugh at least once per episode and been able to see some semi dramatic scenes.
ENJOIMENT: The show hasn't given me any like "whoa" or "wtf" moments yet but, I'm sure that this series will leave me in awe @_@ when it's all over.
OVERALL: The jokes and the famous character interactions are there just like in the original series. Hopefully the series will continue to develop without overwhelming us with the fantasy aspect and not sacrificing any quality with a sequel that came before Haruhi's. ^_^
Recommendation: If you liked the original series watch this for sure. And if you liked this watch Toradora or Nodame Cantabile's sequel as they both are coming out at the same time as Clannad.
If you disagreed OR agreed fully with me on anything feel free to message me and discuss it. Always fun. @_@

Chihuahua Review(short&sweet): A decent additional episode to the Prince of Tennis series.
------------------------------>In Depth Review:<------------------------
STORY: Nothing really special about this episode. Here we have Echizen and his Seigaku headed for a tennis resort where they meet up with some unfriendly college tennis players. As a huge Prince of Tennis fan I was pretty disappointed with this episode. The only tennis match of the episode lasted maybe 3 or 5 minutes and that wasnt really spectacular other than a new shot that really wasnt that new.
ART: Art was well done again the characters looked vibrant and the animation quality is still improving. But still
...
it wasn't really as great without the high quality EXTENDED tennis scenes. So in my opinion quality was passable for an extra episode.
SOUND: The music is of the same quality of the original series. So if you havnt seen it then dont expect too much. Not bad but not great either.
CHARACTER: Only one character evolved here if u can call his one new shot, development. Inui juice is here XD but then again when isnt it. You wont get to see enough tennis action from the other players to keep you satisfied.
ENJOIMENT: Like i said earlier the lack of tennis action was a little disappointing. This is just one episode so why not add it to your Prince of Tennis collection ^_^
OVERALL:Not really sure why the creators added this episode but since its just an episode its not that bad. If you dont watch this episode, dont worry it has nothing to do with the main plot of the series.
Recommendation: If you liked the original series watch this for sure. And if you liked this watch the National Tournament ^_^ for more some real tennis pwnage.
If you dissagreed OR agreed fully with me on anything feel free to message me and discss it. Always fun. @_@

Chihuahua Review(short&sweet): This is a good shounen(bunch of guys and action) to watch. There are alot of unique characters. Let me rephrase that there are a lot of UNIQUE powers here.
------------------------------>In Depth Review:<------------------------
STORY: This is not, I repeat NOT just some lame, generic kid show. The story here is a for spot to become God. Here angels become god-candidates who choose kids to give powers to and then let them battle. The main character Ueki who believes deeply in justice. This may still sound lame and generic but the story execution was great with fun interesting strategies in every battle. The only
...
real problem is parts of the story didnt make sense. 200 abilities for one person and only 100losers so far(you'll understand later).
ART: Animation was well and the battles really drawn exceptionally well adding to the fights intensity. However at times the main characters look really young and it was really hard to take them seriously during dramatic moments. It does becomes unnoticeable with the addictive story.
SOUND: The opening and endings were REALLY good in this one and the background music was passable. The voice acting was great here with the infamous Paku, Romi playing the main Ueki. Guess that's why I thought of Full Metal Alchemist while I was watching this.
CHARACTER: The characters here were really well made and there were alot and after watching it, I doubt there will be a character that youll end up hating. So many powers(trash into trees, towels to steel, etc.) they're so weird but u cant not like them.>_< The powers even get stronger.
ENJOIMENT: I couldn't stop watching this when i started it was so addicting I always wanted to find out wat happend next. Everything blended so well! Very close to being a nine overall. Ending was nice and really hope there is a second season(heard rumors).
OVERALL: No matter how generic this anime sounds it is good and definately worth a watch. Even though everything about it is not that great, the execution was amazing.
Recommendation: If you like shounens with a dash of fantasy and magic watch this. If you like this then watch the Prince of Tennis or Full Metal Alchemist.^_^
If you dissagreed OR agreed fully with me on anything feel free to message me and discuss it. Always fun. @_@

Chihuahua Review(short&sweet): A musical, HIGH quality romance with lots of memorable moments.
------------------------------>In Depth Review:<------------------------
STORY: The theme to this anime is CLASSICAL MUSIC. The main charcter Chiaki is a piano major with a dream of conducting. Along his journey, filled with phobias and doubt, to his goal he meets many UNIQUE musical players including Nodame. The story here was amusing and addictive. This was probably a result of the amazing depth each character had and their many interactions with one another. I consider this to be one of the top tier animes around with such amazing character and music.
ART: The
...
artstyle is nice and is definately better than the one posted for the anime. The characters were smooth and well drawn although i'd have to say one was sort of hideous. XD The part of the animation that people may no have liked was the still frames when the orchestra was playing. It wasn't too bothersome but it was dissapointing to not see animation in an anime especially during a key part. But i cant help respect the animators choices.
SOUND: The sound was the key aspect of the show. There wasn't the same 3-5 songs playing throughout the show but, a cornacopia(alot)^_^ of songs from the classical genre. The OP and ED were some of my favorite op's and ed's and i'd say i only skipped them 1or2 times. Nodame Cantabile introduced me to some great classical pieces and allowed me to imagine older music performed by younger artists, making me realize that classical is still popular and out there. I may not be converted to a true classical fan but i wont complain if i ever hear it playing again.
CHARACTER: The characters were all enjoiable and kept me laughing with their crazy antics. Don't get me wrong though, there was also a bunch of drama resulting from failure, childhood trauma, and lack of self confidence. The characters were all believable with all the realistic trials any college student would probably experience at one time or another. Especially surprising was how each character had their own worked out background, and this included some of the supporting cast. I'd be amazed if you couldnt relate to at least one aspect or problem of their lives.
ENJOIMENT: I enjoied this anime a lot and i'm so glad there is a second season since i didn't really feel enough closure at the end. This is addictive and if it wasnt for my trip to New Orleans i couldve finished it in two days.^_^ I might make this a 10 if the sequel really finishes this anime strongly.
OVERALL: Even with debatable animation scenes there were too many other great characteristics and lovable characters(Nodame) >_<. I dont really see a reason not to watch this.
Recommendation: If you like a better yourself romance or classical music watch this. If you like this then watch Itazura na Kiss, Nana, or Beck.
If you dissagreed OR agreed fully with me on anything feel free to message me and discuss it. Always fun. @_@

Chihuahua Review(short&sweet): This is NOT a special lesson in the music sense(they're at the beach). If you're gonna watch this it is recommended to be watched AFTER EPISODE 8. Get ready for a little summer fun from Chiaki and friends.
------------------------------>In Depth Review:<------------------------
STORY: This is filler of the stop Chiaki and friends took on the way to the music festival in Nagano. Here a certain character's fear of water is inadvertently exploited by his/her unknowing comrades.^_^ This results in some mild humor and antics familiar to that of the series. Overall its funny but not to the level of some great extras
...
(ie. Honey and Clover).
ART: Artstyle remains unchanged from that of the anime. And if you don't already know its at a decent quality.
SOUND: Sound is another unchanged aspect with the same OP. Makes me wonder why this wasn't just added to the first season. In this episode though there isnt the classical music that there usually is.
CHARACTER: You get to better learn the depth of fear the ocean phobic character has. All the others have their fun moments with swimming races, rowboating, and bad farmers tans. XD. This episode really made me miss the characters since I watched it AFTER the main series.
ENJOIMENT: It was a nice episode to see the characters out of their classical modes and having some fun. However its definately not the best episode of the series or one of the best side stories.
OVERALL: Should be watched during the series OR if ur needing to see Nodame and friends once more before season two.>_< If you dont watch it you really didnt miss too much other than a little clarification on a later part.
Recommendation: If you likethe original series watch this. If you liked this get ready for the Nodame Cantabile's Paris Chapter.
If you dissagreed OR agreed fully with me on anything feel free to message me and discuss it. Always fun. @_@

Chihuahua Review(short&sweet): A dramatic, HIGH quality romance with an unexpected ending(maybe just me) that keeps on making me think of "what if's".
------------------------------>In Depth Review:<------------------------
STORY: This romance is based around the main guy, Shinichiro witih the usual three girls fighting for his love. Wrong, one of them obviously has no chance. The the other two duke it out till the very end, which some say was not the prefered finish. However the rest of the story was pretty well done with an ordinary basis flourishing with great execution and "flying" and tears as the main theme here. In my opinion this is
...
Air TV made the right way. Just watch both and compare.^_^
ART: Artsyle and Animation in this was amazing. The female cast was beautiful and one especially was incredibly moe.>_< There was a tad bit of fanservice(1-2scenes) but nothing so much that it becomes a nuisance. The CG(computer graphics) was used well and really blended in with the amazing background. The only complaint i have that prevented the art from being a ten was the blandness of the males in comparison to the girls. Also that other than Jun the cast looked a little young for high school. The art here could rival that of KyoAni's (there i said it)
;)
SOUND: I really liked the entire opening it really set up each episode. I don't think i've skipped it during the time i watched the series. The Cockroach Song was also pretty important even though it wasnt really a song. It worked really well in some of the dramatic scenes. Voice acting was great so i cant say much about it. The ED in this show was passable but i didn't really listen to it until after the show since i kept on wandering on to the next episode.
CHARACTER: There was actually a fair amount of developement among the characters considering it was such a short series. However despite a plethora of wavering hearts and incestual obstacles the show was able to finish smoothly. With this said the characters may or may not be so likeable except maybe for ONE. :) Really interesting how they used both a childhood friend and philosophical moe girl in one series. Tough Matchup XD.
ENJOIMENT: I enjoyed this thoroughly even with my slight dissatisfaction at the end. Right now it seems to be an underrated show but it is definately worth a watch. One of the few shows that made me shed actually shed a tear. If you enjoi romance then dont consider this just watch it.
OVERALL: Debatable ending(debate with me if u want XD) but great everything else. No reason to hate and even with its short span it feels longer than 13episodes.
Recommendation: If you like romance harems or romances in general watch this. If you liked this then watch any of KyoAni's anime or ef-a tale of memories.
If you dissagreed OR agreed fully with me on anything feel free to message me and discuss it. Always fun. @_@

Chihuahua Review(short&sweet): A fun, continuation extra to the Prince of Tennis. If you like the original series non-chibi fillers you'll probably like this.
------------------------------>In Depth Review:<------------------------
STORY: This is a huge bonanza with every single character from the original series participating. Here Atobe of Hyotei Gakuen hosts a celebration to express his deep gratitude to a certain friend. During this time a variety of games are played including a dating game>_< and a relay. Story not really, but entertainment is there.
ART: Art was well done again the characters looked vibrant and the animation quality is still improving. But still it wasn't really as
...
great without the high quality tennis scene. So in my opinion quality was passable for an extra episode.
SOUND: There wasn't an opening so i can't judge it. The ED though was one of my favorite of the series as it created some nice closure to the episode and had a really fun beat to it.
CHARACTER: All the chracters were here. Obviously no character developement unless u count Atobe's sudden good will. Even without the character developement its nice to see ALL of the characters that werent shown for a while. My favorite reunion was the lame joke guy who made the wackest japanese puns ever and then doing his little blow laugh psshXD. Seigaku fans however may feel a little unsatisfied with the regulars small but hilarious appearances.
ENJOIMENT: As a filler this definately isn't my favorite but like i said earlier it is fun to see all the characters in various events. Only one episode so no reason to not just watch it. ^_^
OVERALL: Not really a story but with some decent sound and art it doesn't really matter. No developement, character wise but with all the fun who really cares.
Recommendation: If you liked the original series watch this for sure. And if you liked this watch the National Tournament ^_^ for more tennis antics.
If you dissagreed OR agreed fully with me on anything feel free to message me and discss it. Always fun. @_@

___________________________________________ Review the 1st
Chihuahua Review(short&sweet): A fun, addictive shounen(bunch of guys and action) filled with more unique characters than probably any anime out.
------------------------------>In Depth Review:<------------------------
STORY: You definitely dont have to be a tennis fan or player to enjoi this anime. This could be like any other action anime but, with tennis as the medium. Story is about a young tennis star who joins the infamous tennis club known as Seigaku. Through his time there he and his teammates play through tournaments to become Japan's best team. This may seem boring but with the most hilarious fillers i've seen and experiencing unexpected players(probably over 50
...
and all different) using unexpected strategies with unexpected endings (main characters actually lose). This anime easily is one of the best sport animes to date. Which is proven with the ova(National Tournament) that continues today!^_^
ART: This was unexpectedly well drawn. The specials each player had looked cool and smooth. Again even with the plethora of characters none of them were that similiar. In the early episodes the characters were a little fugly but soon they become more likeable as animation quality developed. The chibi episodes(best fillers ever)>_< were fun to watch.
SOUND: Not to fond of the english dub version but, probably a result of hearin the japanese version which was voiced decently well by the seiyus.
OP's , ED's, and backround music fits well but doesnt really enchance the experience so most of the time i skipped the opening and ending. T_T
CHARACTER: There was alot of character developement. Just about every character and alot of the supporting characters CHANGED. It may not have been drastic but they changed. They werer all pretty enjoyable in their own way wether it be their lame jokes or their own tennis style that makes them become ur favorite. Other than an unamed female (who never changes)>_< U will probably wont hate anybody since even the" badguys" become somewat likeable after seeing their backrounds.
ENJOIMENT: Very fun anime and since matches lasted two or three episodes and a tournament around 13eps i usually marathoned(ALOT of episodes at a time 24 a day) and like i said again u dont have to be a tennis fan to enjoi. Great fillers and fun characters who EVOLVE will keep ur face glued to the t.v. or computer until ur done. ^_^ And if u do become a hardcore fan ova's are still comin out!
OVERALL: The soundtracks may sound boring but there is a fastforwad button. Art may start unappealing but with 178 episodes it improves with the times. Story may get repetitive with tournament after tournament but with the fresh characters u cant not be excited for the next episode.
Recommendation: If you like tennis(u dont have to) or a superpowered sport with great quality then watch this. If you like this watch Law of Ueki or Hajime no Ippo there also great.
If you dissagreed OR agreed fully with me on anything feel free to message me and discss it. Always fun. @_@
