OK, So in the October of 2020, I came across the show Aot. When I first started watching the show I thought the show was very entertaining and suspenseful. Watched season 2, same feeling but did not like the first arc for that season. Watched season 3, still entertaining but you can tell the show was trying to be more complex. Historia is a likable character but to be honest her story was ok and not all that interesting. I mention the character randomly because her character is a huge part of the story. became an anti-hero. The last part of the manga was ok, even though a certain character carried the last part of the story for me. Not going to mention the character's name because I do not feel like arguing with anyone. Ok, here's what I'm getting at. With this series, you can tell as the author was writing this story he had multiple ideas of how or where the story is going to go. This is normal for any author but at a certain point, an author should establish where the story is going to go or the point of the story. What I'm trying to say is I think the author was confused about his own story because he was trying to make the story so complex and political when he didn't need to. He was to focus on making the characters complex when he could of allow the setting and environment of his own story to make the characters complex not the other way around. Season 1 was so simple because of the average characters but horrifying at the same time because of the Titans. I wished the author kept the simple premise of his story before trying to be so complex with the characters. To be honest, the show would have been better if no human was the big bad guy and the series ended with all the characters simply dying from fighting the titians. Fans who were disappointed with the ending were the same ones who were overhyping the story in the first place. Still, this story was entertaining, it just needed better direction.
