Welcome guys!
Hello, my name is Wilt! Thanks for looking at my profile today. Ok, so here are just some facts about me.
Big fan of these Genres: Drama (Those heavy Drama types), Romance, Comedy.
Not a big fan of: Harem, Ecchi (Well, this is MyAnimeList not MyHanimeList).
Hit or miss: Slice-of-Life, CGDCT, Horror, Psychology.
My rating criteria includes: Characters, Story/Plot (and how well the ending is done), Art/ Animation and Sound/ Music, Enjoyment, Hook (how well the anime kees my attention).
I'm also a firm believer that: Plot and Execution > Characters > Originality > Animation. I for one believe that each studio have their own creative ways to execute the animation of an anime, which makes them unique (Some creative ones are Houseki no Kuni and the Clannad series). Plot and Characters are the core to a great anime too!
10 = Literally PERFECT and MASTERPIECE. Not given often, meaning all the 10s hold a significant place in my heart. Saying that they are 10 are understatements.
9 = Great, outstanding and unbelievably awesome, though not perfect. What distinguishes a series as a 10 instead of a 9 is how much value the anime had while and/or after I watched it. Series rated 10 generally holds a special value to me more than series that are rated a 9.
8 = Very Good. Series that are great at their genre. Any anime that's rated 8 or above is something I enjoy, and they have the potential of being a favorite. Definitely recommending most of them to people.
7 = Good. This is generally what I give series that I enjoyed some to a lot of it, but certain flaws may prevent it from getting an 8. Generally, a series I would recommend with caution.
6 = Decent. Not bad, but not particularly good OR something that had potential (or was enjoyable) but also had glaring flaws. Usually has slightly more good than bad.
5 = Average/mediocre. Anime that's generic. Or bored me. This is the mode score.
4 = Either generic and weak, poor, or had to force myself to finish.
3 = Bad, painful to watch. What defers 3 from 2 is that 2 literally have no redeeming factors and development etc., whereas 3 is where I understand the author's intention of making the anime in that particular way, but can't bring myself to like it. (E.g. School Days)
2 = Awful, Just Awful. Wasted my time but at least now you don't have to waste yours.
1 = As of Today (11/8/2022), I have yet to give a 0 to any of the animes I have watched. If ever did I give them a 0, it's literally beyond words to describe how appalling it really is.
Also, my opinion on anime might differ from yours, so don't take my ratings too personally if you find your favorite animes being rated lowly on my list. Having different opinions is literally what makes this whole community fun and interesting.
If you have some common favorites with me, do message me, I promise I would be friendly enough to talk about our favorite animes together.
Lastly, Subs are superior to Dubs.
