TO those who read the manga, keep in mind that this was a 64 chapter manga adapted into a 2 hours movie. So...
Koe no Katachi is a modern story about bullying and redemption. You will feel hatred, pity and compassion towards Ishida during his efforts to make things right again. THe soundtrack and animation are amazing, the voice acting... INCREDIBLE. Even without adapting some of the subplots from the manga, this movie is successfull in giving us reasons to cry and smile at the right times, and THAT is the heart of koe no katachi.
Even though we still see a lot of new animes

Everytime I finish watching a Shinkai's movie i feel like punching him. WHy? Because, even if his stories have a lot of character development and a very well done melancholy tone, they always have vague or REALLY sad endings. ANd ok, it is "unprofessional" from me to say this but i am just a commoner, i feel like i need to say that.
THis movie did not slap me in the face like most of his movies, and i really felt like rooting for the main couple. I could feel the feeling of despair whenever they were afraid to forget each other. I liked how it ... |
