ok so cowboy bebop is incredible and i truly believe it's the greatest anime of all time.
it's a bittersweet story about the ways that each character's past affects them and the ways that they choose to handle it, whether it's to run away from it, ignore it, or to desperately try to run back to it.
most of the show is what i suppose you could call filler episodes, but i'd argue that they're just as important as the episodes that contribute to the actual plot. every episode contributes to each character's development in one way or another and helps you grow to love the show's

ok so this sucks.
story 2/10 - its about surfing i guess? ive watched 9 episodes and i still dont know what the MCs goal is. he doesnt seem to have gotten better at surfing since like episode 3 either. art 4/10 - the art style itself is decent and the animation of the water is pretty good but the random switches to 3d is annoying and ugly. sound 3/10 - decent OP but the rest of the soundtrack sucks, also theres this weird recurring thing where characters speak english sometimes and it just feels like when english speaking people say baka or nani in the middle of ...

i, like most people, started this because of haikyuu which is one of my top three anime. before i say anything else i will say that its nothing like haikyuu, but i might compare some aspects of it as haikyuu is what i would consider a flawless sports anime. also there may be slight spoilers here.
the first episode was actually pretty good, it set up the show immediately to be a lot darker than haikyuu with themes of suicide. there was significantly more drama in the early episodes of the show. however these themes are quite quickly dropped or phased out or just forgotten about. ... |
