One of Urasawa's great work. This manga is what you'll expect to see from Urasawa's manga. It is thrilling, engaging, suspense and intense. Billy bat is pretty enjoyable an easy to read. It might just be because i was exposed to many higher literature such as Crime and Punishment or Thus Spoke Zarathustra but i think this manga is pretty easy to digest. The character are loveable and it's very easy for me to get invested to each character. Urasawa's writting the character really well to the point some of the character that was first introduced and directed as villain ended up making me shed

a tears for their struggle and sacrifices. One thing that i hate from this manga was how the time is pretty confusing. One time the manga telling a story about what happened in 9th may 19xx and out of nowhere next chapter we go even further to like 7th jan 19xx. It's can be very confusing especially for those who tends to miss few information on a chapter. Urasawa's biggest flaw is ending. When it came to ending two of his works that I have read before Monster and 20th/21st Century Boys all fell of on the ending. Monster serves a very cliffhanger ending. 20th/21st Century Boys ending left the story unsatified. Billy Bat ending is somewhat i can say left most us unsatifies. My last rating should be 8.5 but just round up to 9
