This is my all-time favourite anime, and most likely will forever stay that way. The protagonist Edward Elric is my all-time favourite anime character, he has such a deeply tragic backstory alongside his brother Alphonse, which got me really invested in him right away, he grows and and develops so much as a character throughout the course of the show, has such an entertaining and funny personality which doesn't make him look bland at any point, shares such incredibly strong character dynamics which several other important characters in the show the suffering and pain he endures throughout which makes his final happy and fulfilled ending ... incredibly satisfactory narrative wise. The show as a whole has such an amazingly compact storytelling, such a grand cast consisting of a wide range of wonderfully written characters in terms of characterization, great world building which is evident by how plot thickens and thickens towards as the story reaches its end, resulting in an epic, memorable and satisfactory climax which gives a proper closure to the story and the characters. The show via the rule of "Equivalent Exchange" actually heavily explores the fundamentals of karmic justice, which makes everything that happens feel grounded in morality. No other show has made me so deeply feel and care for the characters even again, I can give this a 1000/10 if I could. :)
