These two manga are fantastic entries in the "human misery" genre, featuring children undergoing horrendous physically and mentally demanding tasks in a fantasy-type world. Both have cute art styles and characters despite this.

If you liked Gantz add

...then you might like I Am a Hero add

I feel these manga are quite similar due to their otaku main characters and very basic initial premises both gradually becoming larger in nature, incorporating foreign (to japan) story lines and characters. In addition to that, both manga are also heavily traced and have subplots that go nowhere.

If you liked Amaama to Inazuma add

...then you might like Yakumo-san wa Ezuke ga Shitai. add

If you find the idea of surrogate parents interesting then you would probably enjoy Yakumo-san. Both feature a widower/widow cooking for a high school student. Pretty much a genderswapped cast, only without Tsumugi. Similar amounts of blushing are featured throughout. Weirdly enough both also feature a upbeat blond female side character with multiple male siblings.
