Are you the type of person that is always paranoid about what others say about you? Fearful that everyone around you is gossiping about you? Well, you should totally read this manga! It never fails to make me laugh. That i can confirm.
Disclaimer: as of now i have only read 4 chapters of this manga so i dont really know if im eligible to write this review
STORY: 8/10
The story is simple. This is about Seishuu's high school life where he is oblivious about how popular he actually is. Instead, he takes the mumbling he hears and stares that he gets, as people badmouthing him.
...
Each chapter has a story of its own and they are always hilarious. Sometimes while reading i will be rolling on the floor laughing my ass off as to how ridiculous the situation is.
ART:7/10
The art is nothing extravagant but not bad either. I would say it is above average. Since, it is a comedy manga, the exaggerated faces are really funny, and the character designs are pretty well done. This does not affect my opinion of the art, but i feel that Yoshino Satsuki took the design of Seishuu from the Barakamon anime series and placed it here. Maybe its true. Maybe its not. Its just my observation.
CHARACTER:7/10
I dont really know what to say here though. There isnt much to say. Seishuu to me is a very likeable character. I can relate to him as i too get paranoid about what others say about me. He is however much much kinder than i am though. haha. Not much character development has happen as for now, which is not something i hate. For this kind of comedic manga which sole purpose i believe which is to be funny, doesnt need much characterization in my opinion. Maybe its because i also read the Barakamon manga which is why i feel this way, but im not sure myself.
OVERALL:8/10
Overall, i really like this manga. It always finds a way to make me laugh. Which is all i need really. As such, I would recommend you read this manga and its other related manga which i have mentioned called Barakamon. Thank you for taking your time out to read this review :))

Ten Count is a really unique yaoi manga in my opinion. I have never seen a yaoi manga placed in this kind of setting before. Granted, maybe i have not read alot of yaoi manga, BUT, it truly surprised me.
STORY: 8/10
As i believe you read the summary, i will not elaborate much on its setting. Like ive said in the beginning, i have never seen a yaoi couple where one of them is Mysophobic. This is what makes this story so much different than from others. At first when i found out that Shirotani is mysophobic, i was like "wait. since most yaoi manga
...
have smut in them, how will this yaoi manga turn out? will it have any smut? what will happen??". So as i was reading i like how the author try to make Shirotani and Kurose a couple. Though i have to say unfortunately, i find the pacing of it a little bit fast. Just a littllllle bit.
ART: 9/10
Ive read other works Takarai Rihito made, like Seven Days and Hana no Miyako de, and i have to say her art is done really well. It is pretty consistent throughout the mangas she has done and this is no exception.
CHARACTER: 7/10
This part personally i feel was not done as well. I'll make myself clear, as of now, i have only read till chapter 16 so in the future if my problem with it is solved, then just disregard this part of the review. Okay, so on to my problem with it. I feel that the amount of characterization given to Shirotani and Kurose is totally imbalanced. There is way too much characterization on Shirotani and little to nothing on Kurose.
I dont know if its because a lot of time was focused on Shirotani or what, but i find him to be a very likable character. I find myself being ACTUALLY sad when he is sad. Also, he is consistent while Kurose is not. This may just be Kuroses character to be inconsistent but that really irritates me. You get to see the struggles Shirotani goes through and what he feels, but you do not get to see what Kurose feels. Also, in different scenes at different timings, Kurose acts extremely different. Its like as if he is possessed or something.
I dont know, i hope after chapter 16, we get to understand Kurose more.
OVERALL: 8/10
Even though i find flaws in the characters, i still give it a 8/10 for its uniqueness and how well the art is. Sometimes you just have to turn a blind eye on things so that you can see the beauty of it. In conclusion, if youre a yaoi fan i think you should give it a try for it is new and refreshing.

Watamote is very a very enjoyable show. It is basically about the trials a girl with social anxiety have to go through trying to be the most popular girl in school. And of course she utterly fails at everything she does. As someone that does have social anxiety, i relate to this so much. They however do exaggerate things a little but that is what makes this show so fun to watch. Also, the occasional crude humor helps too. I personally believe this how is suppose to be targeted at people who have some form of social anxiety as they are the ones who can
...
relate to the show the most.
STORY:
There isnt much i can say in terms of story as this show is every episodic. But i can say that each trial she goes through, to me at least, is written pretty well.
ANIMATION:
This is the part where i believe most people think was done marvelously. The animation and the way the character is drawn fits perfectly to the tone of the situation and how the character feels. Even in scenes where nothing spectacular is going on, lets say walking, the way it is depicted is extremely visually pleasing. I have to mention the opening as it was done really well too. You just have to see it to fully understand how well it was done.
SOUND:
The voice actor for Tomoko ( the main character ) was SOOOO GOOD. The voice she gives for each different emotion sounds so distinct. I remember a scene where Tomoko is acting all cold and mighty, and the change from the scared little girl, to the mature and 'i dont care about you' girl so just sooooo (Y)(Y)(Y). The background music for different scenes also fits the atmosphere really well.
I REALLLY enjoyed this show as i was watching it. Seeing Tomoko fail at everything and getting embarrass at small little things is just so funny. Though sometimes i really pity her too. I've seen in wiki that when it was airing, people debated whether it was 'a comedy or a study of neurosis'. Im like its just a freaking comedy anime. Chill~~ Anyways, overall i give this show a 8/10, and think that you should definitely check this show out just to give yourself a good laugh.

This is the worst OVA i have ever seen. It was an absolute pain sitting through the whole thing. I then realised it was an Animix or whatever which is why it turned out like this. Like omg... you would be better off reading the manga than watching this. ( I have never read the manga ) It is literally like pictures with some mouth and eye movement. Thats it. Im pretty sure i would have enjoyed myself way more reading the manga -.- I dont even understand why they would even make this.
STORY:
i guess base on what ive seen, the story is still
...
ok. Nothing to elaborate here
ART:
The character designs are fine. Tolerable to me. ( because most of the time i cant stand these type of designs ) The movement is absolutely terrible. There was this one scene where extreme movement was needed to show its 'epicness' and it was just a train wreck... (But since its an Animix i shouldnt fault how still it is or whatever but i just have to say it)
SOUND:
The sound was okay i guess. HOWEVER, there was this one part where characters werent speaking Japanese but Cantonese and like omg, since i do speak Cantonese, MY EARS FELT LIKE THEY WERE GOING TO EXPLODE by how badly spoken it was. But of course if you dont speak the language it wouldnt affect you at all. I just wanna state my experience with it.
In conclusion, i don think you should watch the OVA. It is a waste of time. Just read the manga if youre interested. Im pretty sure you will have a better time with it.

This is my first ever review so bear with me. :)
Firstly, i really enjoyed this OVA. When i first watched it, i had absolutely no idea what it was about and only went in due to the shounen ai/yaoi factor. However, once i got the gist of what the story is about i found that i loved it. It has a pretty good plot going on. Though if like me you went in without any idea of the actual story you will find yourself completely confuse. Being confuse isnt such a bad thing to me tbh, because most of the time whenever i watch/read
...
something new i would be unclear of what the main story is about.
The characters to me are pretty interesting. I feel that the two main characters have a good chemistry going on. haha. After completing the manga, i feel that they did a decent job of developing the characters just through 1 OVA.
I think that the art and sound did the best compared to the story and character. The way the characters were designed and the voices they had fit perfectly well together. Of course im not trying to say it was the best thing i have ever seen, but compared to my expectations, it was very well done.
Overall, i feel that watching this OVA is worth wasting 27 min of my life. It is visually pleasing, and you can really get engaged into the story if this kind of story is your thing. It even made me read the entire manga afterwards so... Therefore, i give this OVA an overall of 8 and hope that people that enjoy this genre should give a shot.
