‘Never judge a book by its cover’. And after a few episodes, I can commit that “Imouto Sae Ireba Ii” is a great example of the quote. I was lost my momentum because of trailer, preview and thought it would be a romance slice of life around a siscon decorated with ecchi and harem. But I’ve learnt my lesson: I shouldn’t be a weather forecast just based on some minutes of the film.
About how I could have deviation before and at the beginning, the first scene of ep1 definitely takes in charge. Its genre had been rechecked to make sure ‘hentai’ didn’t contain, so basically,
...
I just can’t believe what I just saw. Because we have a spoiler disallowance, I can only reveal that it’s on a whole new level of perverted, also disgusting inspired by an incestuous love. That’s how our main character, Itsuki-sensei, make a debut by asserting specific favor in his light novels: Brother x Little Sister romance.
Comedy is another genre that I’m confused at. My emotion gets deeper and deeper as the story develops, grown by novelists’ precarious career, nurtured by their mysterious unhappy past and ripe at their relationship. Talk about relationship, not only about sad triangle love, but the interactions with other characters are enough for me to look forward to watching next episodes. By the way, some enjoyable, interesting board games they presented cooperated with happy slice of life has brought comedic atmosphere back to the series.
One of the spotlight is the plot of some conversations, what can I say, is extraordinary. I mean the words come naturally as they’re close friends, no beef, but just about pe**s, panties, somethings need to be tagged as R18 generally (just a vague comment as I knew we got R+-Mild Nudity rating). So that, if perverted flirting were illegal, Nayu-chan could be on target of any policeman. Pop up as a naughty girl with a “beautiful mind” and also a yuri lover, she easily passes all competitors to be on top of fan favorite character.
To get along with Nayuta, we have Lil-sis addict Itsuki with his buddy Haruto, all of them are talent novelists; and then reverse trap stepsister Chihiro; Itsuki’s friend Miyako… They’re really an important piece for Imouto Sae Ireba Ii. Character also takes my best grade and high appreciation of reviewers while each has his/her own jewel inside.
Enjoyment:
Great anime with just comedy, romance isn’t what I chose to keep following, but the dramatic moods, good fan service art, sound and the life of light novelists attracted me to keep my eyes stick on the screen and enjoy every moments. Additionally, ED song made me feel a bit sad with deep melody on sedentary background.
I can’t wait till the ss2 after the OE.
Ep 9: useful tip right there.

The first ever girl who can change her height! (Not using magic of course)
Himouto, as I heard, is a combination of hikikomori and imouto. From only the title, I knew that what I would see is a comedy, slice of life anime about a little sister who nail herself at home, also cause endless troubles to her brother. But so far, Umaru-chan has shown me the kindness I’ve never thought about.
Receptive and Unique; those two adjectives is the best way to describe ss1. But at some last episodes, UMR-R makes me feel like I am watching a harem rom-com series disguises as a
...
slice of life anime. I don’t intend to offense because this is one of my favorite slice of life anime. Not only has a fancy idea, it also has close bro-sis’s relationship, which hits right on my style.
For those who never watch ss1, I highly recommend that for you. I also mention about both seasons in this review. It’s the only way for me to describe this anime fully.
Story:
Everyone has their dark side that doesn’t want to be explored. Worse, though, no one can accept that or doesn’t get away from you. And about our main character: Umaru-chan, a student girl always has a high academic achievement, a definition of perfection, has lots of respect at school, turn out to be a lazy ‘hamster’ chibi at home. The one who knows both of these characteristics, and surprisingly doesn’t tell anyone about this secret, is her reliable onii-chan.
In front of each person, she has different characteristic to show. Until now, there are 3 sides of her and I’ve no idea why she has to hide her true identity, also her past, too. Anyway, everybody fall in love with it, even with annoying actions.
Romance has been focused more in ss2, but not too much to dim the slice of life part. If it has anything I’m not happy about, like I said before, is harem situation beginning to develop. Other than that, UMR has lively moments and bland relationships.
Characters / Art / Sounds:
Adorable characters
With the development of each character grows smoothly, they’re all express emotions and acts fit with their easily recognized characteristics. When talk about it, in ss2, Kirie-chan isn’t longer too shy; a dynamic Tachibana has shown her deep and thought that surprising me; the sight of Doma x Ebina love story; and still a beloved himouto umaru-chan from ss1, even Doma said that he could feel the changes of her. With the attendance of more supporting characters, the story still has a lot of things to blush.
Nothing too much special about art and sounds effect. I can say it fits well with the characters for every side, and it’s quite similar to the manga’s art, also cute chibi. Love Tachibana’s voice and exciting ED.
Enjoyment:
An easy to watch anime and beloved characters. I also checked for the manga right after watching all episodes, also asking myself why this hasn’t gone viral, but different people have different thought, so I got it quickly.
Anyway, this is worth giving it a try, just like me when I first saw it. Let’s have a cute, funny time with Himouto Umaru-chan and friends.

If I had nosebleeds each time I saw a cute act like Dino, I would be in a hospital now
Maid café is a dreamland of every otaku and everyone who interested in Japanese culture, including me. Passing through maid’s standard, they appear in front of customers with only one characteristic: Sadistic, Tsundere, Idol, Onee-san, and Imouto. That’s really a good idea to lure all those men who want to enjoy a lovely time with “Stile” girls around.
Their actions during work, surprisingly, are different from what they act in real life. Although it’s still make me enjoy when I see those reactions, I want Working Mode
...
intersperses with True Mode sometimes. Maika has shown that perfectly, and I’d love to see the others’.
Love stories between Akizuki x Hideri are so cute. It flows lightly and in fact, outscored Maika x Dino. I don’t say their romantic time is awkward or dry. I’m just not attracted by the development of man loves loli, even their childish always catch me dying in laugh when they cause ridiculous situations.
Romantic scenes are a bit too much. I want to know more about their families, while the studio didn’t show it clearly.
But when talking about the reason I’m looking for ‘Blend S’, also what impressed me most, it’s definitely the OP. If for some reasons this anime can’t excite you, I’m sure it’s songs can. The energy it brings to me is unbelievable. What a good way to begin a comedy anime! Let’s give it a try and don’t skip the ED, too.
Is there anything I miss? Because of A-1 picture, the art was made with a great quality, like it always does, so I have nothing to complain about.
Enjoyment: I hope they focused on their work, cute acting more than romance. The story doesn’t have all rainbow colors the intro has. Anyway, I come here to see Maika’s smile, OP/ED and Hideri so this anime isn’t bad at all.
And the last thing I want to say
Hideri is a TRAP !!!!

Before we start, I just want to ask: How many great works have been delayed, dropped or forced ending due to sickness? I’ve heard about Noragami’s status along with HunterxHunter’s and World Trigger’s really gets me worried, but the saddest thing is a manga being rushed to an end.
I’m so depressed about Criminale being ended soon even having lots of potential. Story, characters could be developed more and this manga would be fascinating.
Action combines with school life always has its own seduction other manga don’t have. Fresh and extraordinary, this type can easily bring us through an emotion garden with different flowers, although Criminale can’t
...
show full sight of it.
Criminale and Assassination Classroom have two things in common. Both focus on each student’s talent and they’re in a special class among all the normal ones which can bring in a ton of weapon. Last but not least, friendship and romance are mined in many school life manga, and this one isn’t an exception. But 39 chapters aren’t enough to display perfectly, even they appear a lot and sometimes dim the action role. Ignoring that, this manga usually makes me laugh with a light – hearted, comedy type of story.
Tamito is very unlucky because the criminals always target him every seconds, but soon be used to it and tries to avoid any negative situations. Because of that, he doesn’t have any friends at school until he goes to high school where he meets strange new friends with different crimes, the friends who accept and get along with him throughout high school life. This story reminds me of ‘Milo Murphy’s law on Disney Channel, both of them teach us to watch out for accidents happen all around the city.
There are too much unknown information about these characters. What are their past and talents? Why they are criminals? Instead of showing it by some stories, the authors decide to put it in a textbox.
With a cute artwork and characters, Criminale can satify any readers. The author also said that he really focused on characters’ design, especially on Sarah, so that their acts are hilarious and adorable.
I have to say that again, Criminale truly has a lot of potentials, and if the author could have done this work perfectly, I’m sure this would be an interesting manga that no one wants to be missed. Anyway, with just 39 chapters, Criminale succeeds to show us a light –hearted, comedy manga which can relax you after a busy day.

I had read a lot of negative reviews about this anime, and in fact, I agreed with most opinions. But at different angles, I want to give this series some love. It’s a perfect one for someone has a little pervert in mind and termless imagination.
The plot is really simple: daily comedy school life and romance. Shinozaki Haruka is a normal male student who crushes on Kousaka Akiho, a proficient class monitor aka the perfect representative of every student in school. He tries to confess her and realizes her “special” hobbies. Despite of that, he still want to get along with
...
her, also find a lot of interesting sides about Kousaka and friends.
And about some of those friends, I still wonder how many porn films did they watch before classes.
Misunderstanding is the main comedy factor in this series, more interesting to see characters reactions though. They don’t try to make a joke, but the humor comes from conversations and situations naturally because of their characteristics. Watching this really darkens my mind through time with lots of sex jokes, which is a serious threat to who want to enjoy it.
Romance, luckily, is quite normal and not gone too far. Kousaka and Shinozaki love story is the highlight of this: a cute couple with no childish anger or jealous. Boy love, girl love and harem don’t have a permanent appearance but enough to add some other colors to this series.
Good OP and ED, but I thought it would be harem + ecchi throughout 10 episodes.
Diomedea and Blanc have made a great background, but characters designs aren’t unified and still need more uniqueness, they have done it better in the last 5, 6 episodes though.
Like I said before, even though Sho-bitch has a lot of things to judge about, this anime can bring us a good medicine in a sad day. And, just like the medicine, it may not adapt to someone, so let’s think carefully and decide whether you want to take it or not.

The jewels can’t be mined with just few episodes: the more we watch, the more we claim much more than we expected. It’s so painful to watch these characters acting against their life, but the way they stand right after falling is really praiseworthy. Their vigor has encouraged me a lot.
“NHK ni youkoso” has it all: from hikikomori, otaku to cheating and mass suicide. This series really reflects most of negative sides in Japan society. But behind those problems, there are always painful reasons, or ‘conspiracy’ like Hitomi said.
The metaphor of NHK organization impressed me throughout all 25 episodes. From a mystery group that prevent
...
hikikomori turning back to normal life to representing all negative emotions lead to bad actions, NHK has an important role to show central meanings of the series: There is always a way back when we have lost. As Satou’s perspective, all those complex things have been simplified funnily.
Romance isn’t what I thought will affect much to this series. It’s not focused a lot being a subordinate factor but surprisingly adding different kind of taste, even being pushed to climax latterly.
Yamasaki’s story’s truly hurts me a lot.
Art and sound are fit well. First ED is hilarious with a strange style, but what the second ED shows is deep and beautiful.
Enjoyment:
First 12 episodes: Most focus on Satou’s hikikomori and Yamasaki. I was angry about Satou decisions and thought so I skipped a few times. Luckily, I regretted right after that and enjoy the pain authors want to show us.
Last 12 episodes: The climax, I couldn’t help watching it, really didn’t want to miss anything at all: new characters, new story, new ED plus a ton of emotions. Finally, the ending is totally the best, too good to end a significant series.
“Old but gold”

Nothing much to say. An anime with a guy who (is forced to) love muscles and men in a school full of girls? Sounds good to me!
Even though the plot is not too unique: a boy suddenly changes to a female school, Nanatsuki-sensei has expanded it: more situations, more secrets and in fact it adds more colors to this series, so don’t dismiss this hastily. Let’s read this review instead and take a few second to decide whether you want to spend time with it or not.
When people see something beautiful, attractive and very expensive compare to their normal stuff, not
...
surprising to know their feelings. But we are talking about the wealthy people’s daughters who use its every day. Since they were born, they have lived in a prosperity life that separated them from outside world, no wonder they act awkwardly while contacting with commoner people. That’s why the value of a thing is relative.
Shomin sample’s context is about a school which teaches influential family’s daughters only to guide them to the government. In this school, they have to learn like the way princesses had been taught long time ago. After realized that they had been struggle with communicating with normal people, the principal offers to add a male normal student as a ‘commoner sample’ to teach those girls everything about outside world except staining them.
Characters:
Kimito Kagurazaka: a man who kidnapped by the school under the assumption that he prefers men. He is to summarize ’average‘.
Miyuki Kujou: A head maid and Kimito’s personal maid. She’s very cold and cruel toward Kimito.
Reiko Arisugawa: She’s the monitor in Kimito’s class. As one of the most influential member in school, Reiko usually acts like a princess .
Aika Tenkuubashi: A childish, tsun-pure girl who has great trouble socializing with the other girls in the academy, but she’s very confident in front of Kimito.
Hakua Shidome. A 14-year-old loli has ’Savant Syndrome ‘. For Kimito, she’s like his little sister.
Karen Jinryou: A strange student who loves katana and always wants for challenging. She’s definitely one of the strangest students in the academy. Also her suddenly appearance makes me confuse.
Eri Hanae: Kimito’s childhood friend.
Most of their pasts are still unknown which is very interesting to find out.
Now talk about the art. Well, it’s not too good or you can say it’s just average. Even though I can’t deny the fact that ecchi scenes have a good quality, the character designs aren’t fit too well to their characteristics, and the details, structures might be better if Silver Link focused on. Luckily, it doesn’t affect too much to the series which has hundreds cute girls cover your eyes.
I just saw manga’s and LN’s posters and claimed that their art styles are really different to each other.
Comedy, ecchi and slice of life combination is always fun and relax to watch and Shomin Sample isn’t an exception. There are many missing pieces in this series that I want to find out, so it still has a lot of potential. I am also curious about what will happen after that open ending so that if Kimito and his muscle buddies showed up for ss2, it would be fascinating.

“I'm only one call away
I'll be there to save the day…” (One call away- Charlie Puth)
I incidentally heard this song when I was reading Watashi no Messiah-sama (WnM). And you know what? It’s surprisingly fit so well to the story which is fulfill with darkness and drama.
As I expected from Minazuki Suu, I can’t help claiming that he did write a great story. Even though it’s not one of the best in my opinion, the impression which is logged after reading this isn’t small. Is there someone you want to protect at all cost? If so, what will you feel
...
when that important person collapse in front of you? Tragedies, desperations come too quick really affects to reader’s dither. Trouble after trouble, the intension always at level max can make us being attracted, but also cause confusion at some parts.
Yumiki Shinya is a meek boy who I believe can’t find anything good from himself: not athletics, not too good at study, always being bullied… But one day, a special girl comes and tells him that he is a Messiah – the person who has been chosen to save her and his world. The things I like about this part are Shinya has to fight and learn to get used to his power, or you can say he has transformed from a normal high school boy to a potential God. Because of that, he is getting stronger and braver, also gets along with his friends to beat enemies.
About the characters, of course the improvement of Shinya is impressive, but let’s don’t forget about the others.
Minazuki-sensei focuses a lot on their emotions so that I thought he tends to make WnM to be a roller coaster, but in few scenes, there’re some parts which cause incomprehension and ruined readers’ feelings.
Most of the protagonists are girls so there must be harem in this story, but Shinya already has the one he loves so it just flows slowly throughout chapters.
Characters are well designed with great characteristics so that their decisions are both understandable and unforeseen.
Art: Overall, the art is quite good. Sometimes it seems to be cracked, especially at climaxes, makes all the things I can see are a mess. Ignoring that, the characters has been drawn carefully; and Tarutaru ‘chibi’ is really cute.
Enjoyment:
As a big fan of Sora no Otoshimono, it’s great to know that WnM has a same author. Although WnM doesn’t bring exactly what I was expected, this manga will be epic for someone who loves dramatic war and romance.

4 years has passed since 'Hataraku Maou-sama' aired, I have seen many different demons genres but if I had to rewrite some of the best of those, this series would be part of that.
There is something special, something will be in mind for a long time. Ideal? Yes. I like a reformed devil as a protagonist to get along with his ‘nemesis’ – a female hero in Emilia. But if you are finding a series full of combats, I don’t think this can achieve your purpose. Although there are some fighting scenes, 13 episodes focus on how our Maou manages to fit
...
with strange human system. Have you ever seen any powerful devil works hard day by day for a small fast-food restaurant to earn his salary? I don’t think you can find anything like that in other demons.
But the ideals are not the best part. It’s good and extraordinary but that’s not what I’m impressed most. I prefer comedy to ideals and it’s the reason why this series attracted me when I saw it.
As the Satan in Ente Isla, Maou Sadao is clearly a true bad guy: cruel, sinister, an unbeaten monster. He rules his world with violence and wars, makes innocent people experience despair, desolation; villages are deep in fire and blood. But when he was in modern-day Tokyo – a world without magic, as a normal person, Maou Sadao and Yusa Emi followed their rules, worked with them, learned everything from them. Thanks to that, they realized the right things they had to do and made their decisions. The way they act like dog versus cat all the time usually has my laugh, but when they have the same enemies to fight, the same people to protect, their cooperation and trusting each other are really fun to watch.
Nothing too much to say about the characters and drawing. Well, they were designed perfectly that I can understand their characteristics and emotions. Although the protagonists have been focused on, I want to find out more about other characters, but I think waiting for 2nd season or reading light novel is a great experience.
Overall, this is a great series. I can watch it daily without any discomfort or despondency. This is truly an anime to enjoy at your free-time.

This manga's definitely one of the best harem, mecha manga ever.
I hadn't scrolled the screen consecutively, waited, hoped and enjoyed a manga for a long time (maybe since Onepiece and HxH) until I found this gem. I didn't expect to be in a train of joy, happiness, dramatic and peace when I first read this. It's like being in a roller coaster of emotions that is never end. But with the manga, the ending really makes me burn violently. All the emotions were gliding through my heart, making it beat faster and faster, feeling like it could be jump off at any moment.
...
Incredible!! But it's not the first time I went through with that. It happened to me when I read each chapter: There are some chapters made me happy, some felt sad, and the other are peaceful with the excellent slice-of-life scenes. The way the story had been told really enjoyable, memorable and impressive. It reminded me of To Love RU: A harem, slice-of-life manga with a warm story.
Tomoki is definitely a typical protagonist in manga who has a perverted hobby which makes most of the ecchi scenes. It happens consecutively but isn't boring and somehow ends up to be hilarious (even a little bit pain). However, if you ask me about what build the comedy for SnO, the immortalizing and absurdity will be my answer. I had been laughing to death when I watched 'Oggy and cockroaches' or 'Tom and Jerry' which their characters are exploded, cut into pieces,... Exaggeration usually impresses me because of creativity, comedy and SnO successfully uses it without making a bunch of lame jokes. Those funny moments is on a different level which include both seriousness and humor which hard to find often in other manga.
For a harem and ecchi type, Minazuki Suu has done exactly what that type of manga must have: a great artwork with a lot of female characters. But the things impressed me a lot are the chibi, beautiful background and most of all, fighting moments. If you are the fans of mecha's battles which focused on drawings and effects, this is the one you are looking for. All the different types of weapon: swords, laser, shield,... were drawn in detail make the battles fun to watch. Moreover, the background is more and more eye-catching and realistic to become a highlight in SnO's artwork.
For the characters, I have to say it's really varied and depth. Minazuki-sensei focused a lot on their feelings, so that it led to their actions, their fights. When it comes to an end,we will understand them more, therefore, we can claim that even the bad guys have their own viewpoints, good sides to show.
It's interesting to see characters's development throughout the series from a childish Ikaros, loli tsundere Nymph, idiot Astraea... and along with them to find happiness.
Like I said before, this manga is one of the best manga I have ever seen. It can easily satisfy anyone who reads this with epic comedy and drama. Although the ending is a little bit rushed and I always hope for more, but SnO really shows how good it is in controlling our emotions, so that the regret we have maybe the way Minazuki-sensei want to end his masterpiece.
