I don’t usually write reviews and I’m not, by any means, an “expert” in anime but about this one I really felt the need to write one so here we are.
“Gugure! Kokkuri-san” is a sort of slice-of-life comedy with supernatural involved. Now, after knowing this and reading the synopsis above we may somewhat expect what the anime is going to be about.
Even though I said I’m no expert in anime (and I’m definitely not), as an avid fan of comedies I’ve watched quite a lot of them and I end up having the need to talk about them. Now, in my opinion
...
there are many great comedy animes out there that are not as high rated as this one currently is. Could it be because it actually was not all that well executed? They had a special kind of humour directed to a specific audience? Whatever may be the reason, comparing some of them to this one I found myself askig 'Does Gugure! Kokkuri-san' deserve all the praise it is getting?” In my honest opinion, it doesn’t really. Let’s separate the review by parts then.
Story:
Kohina is a girl who says she’s a doll and that one day ended up summoning Kokkuri-san After that a bunch of characters are introduced and they started living together in Kohina’s house. There isn’t exactly a “serious” plot but I that’s normal from a slice-of-life. All in all it had small subplots here and there that worked alright. Not much to say here. Hopefully I'm not forgetting anything important.
Story gets an 6/10. With the variety of characters it could have done much better.
Art/Animation:
The art is fine, nothing too special nor new. Kokkuri-san looks like a copy of Tomoe from “Kamisama Hajimemashita” but I’m not going to complain about that. The animation was ok for most of the anime as well, I dind’t notice a moment where it got worse.
Art gets an 7/10 for it could be much better and fresh.
Sound:
Oh, the opening song is quite catchy and the ending is good as well, very relaxing to listen to. The voice actors did a good job on their roles as well and made this anime much better. Nothing much to say about the BGM, it was ok for most of the times.
Sound gets an 9/10
Character:
Well, if this anime isn’t following a specific plot then the characters have to be the ones to carry the anime. We have quite a few here altough the only ones who stand out more are definitely Kohina and Kokkuri-san with Inugami coming 3rd place here. There’s no explanation about the backstory of most of them and the most developed character is probably Kokkuri-san as he adapts to his life with Kohina and company.
Characters get a 7/10
Enjoyement:
Now here comes one that is really important for my ratings. I have to say I had great expectations for this anime after the 1st and 2nd episodes. They felt new and refreshing and the jokes were well played during those first episodes but after these I felt my enjoyement dropping. Maybe it was because I wasn’t feeling like watching it at the time? I don’t know but I ended up disappointed with the way the anime went as it didn’t seem to want to go anywhere precisely. New characters appeared just for 1 or 2 episodes and then were forgotten and I didn’t find the jokes as funny as before, they felt repetitive and forced and that’s something I can’t stand in a comedy anime, it has to work fluently. I really wanted to give it a 7 or na 8 but for these reasons
Enjoyement gets an 6/10
Overall
Gugure! Kokkuri-san is not, by any means, a bad anime, it is quite enjoyable and heartwarming but I feel that it could have been much better. Still, if you enjoy comedies and would like to watch a bunch of supernatural beings and a little girl getting into troublesome and ridiculous situations then give this anime a shot. You may find it much better than I did, it is all up to oneself :)
Overall I ended up droping the score from na 8 to a 7/10 but it still was worth the time.
Thank you and I hope this was helpfull

YOSH! Slice of Life Comedy review here we go!
Joshiraku is an anime adaptaion of a manga from the same creator of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.
Now now, I found this anime by chance but as an avid fan of comedies I couldn't ignore it.
Joshiraku is quite the interesting and funny anime. Be it the interactions between the characters, the parodies or the "breaking of the 4th wall" thingy.
Let us begin
Story:
As a slice of life comedy anime, it doesn't have a specific plot nor anything serious. It does, though, have continuity. Meaning that what happened in an episode will "affect" the future ones, which
...
is good.
Personally, I find the comedy throughout the show quite good and enjoyable, although it may not be for everyone. Even so, it will definitelly find a way to entertain you and make you laugh.
With all that said, the story gets an 7/10.
Art/Animation:
The art is quite good and fitting. Each character is easily identifiable by it's characteristics/colours and are drawn nicely. Same with the colourfull backgrounds (not that there are many but still xD).
The animation quality is definitely good. All the characters move fluently and I failed to notice any moment in which such quality dropped.
Art/Animation gets an 8/10.
Sound:
Woo! Great! The Opening and Ending are great and I got addicted to them >.>
Besides that, the bg was fitting and I didn't notice any problems with it.
Sound gets a 9/10
Characters:
The big point of the show, as it focuses on the interaction between these. Joshiraku has a small cast of characters, each with it's own traits and characteristics that complement each other nicely.
Nothing special to say about them, the characters are not at all unique but good and each of them is important for the show as they are. I can't imagine Joshiraku without any of them.
Characters get an 8/10 'cause quite like them and I can.
Enjoyement:
Hell, did I have fun watching this. I sure did! I watched some of the episodes more than 3 times already. What can I say, personally it was one of the best comedy shows I've seen.
Enjoyement gets an 9/10
Overall:
Joshiraku is a quite entertaining anime. The art and animation was good and the OP and ED will get stuck in your head for a while. It's not the best comedy out there but surely enjoyable and worth the time spent watching. One title I would recommend to comedy fans out there.
That said, and Overall classification of 8.
Hope this is usefull
Thank you :)

Oh well, I found this movie by chance and although the rating wasn't very high I decided to give it a shot so I came here with no idea what it would be about (excetp that, well, it had something to do with Alice in Wonderland).
To be fair it wasn't bad but could be much better if it was maybe a TV series?
Anyway, I'll explain in the topics so let's get started.
Story:
Hm... we start with a tough one for the movie. I found the story hard to follow because they didn't really set up a plot besides Alice trying to leave Heartland
...
and then not? The beginning of the movie was specially hard to follow because the characters and scenes kept changing suddently so you have to watch a bit more to get explanation fro waht was going on. Moving on, I feel like the plot wasn't well written and the execution wasn't the best either. I might have missed something I don't know. 3 or 4/10
Art:
Now this is one of the strong points of the show. The character design is really nice and the colorfull atmosphere fits perfectly with the show. I specially enjoyed when the time of the day changed, the animation looked really good. The rest of the animation was OK, not bad but nothing special either. 8/10
Sound:
Another strong point of the show. I really like the opening and the ending of the movie. I'll be honest and say that I don't remember much of the rest of the OST but if I can't remember probably it's because it fit the scene although not memorable. The VA's fitted their characters well, nothing much to say about that. 8/10
Character:
Well, in an hour and half movie there isn't much time to character development but I'll say this: although the characters are the same from Alice in Wonderland, they are nothing alike xD There are guys belonging to a mafia group and Vivaldi is friendly with Alice... wtc.
For one thing I'm glad, Alice is inteligend and not helpless. Other than that, the rest of the characters aren't anything special. They have their moments alright but that along with the poor storytelling I couldn't care much for any of them. 5/10
Enjoyement:
Well, I guess all in all it was ok. I wasn't expecting much from the movie and at the beginning was a bit hard to concentrate in it but the rest of the movie was fine. 6/10
Overall, if the story and the characters themselves had been better explained I believe the story would be much better but I guess you can't do much if your're only makin an 1 hour 24 minutes movie. For all this I couldn't give it more than a 7 but it wasn't good enough so 6/10. Still, it's not bad so you may want to give it a try and take your own conclusions :)
