Yuru Yuri San Hai is the third season of the Yuru Yuri anime.
To be completely honest, I started the Yuru Yuri anime after the third season started airing so I was able to watch all the episodes in connection with one another. When I had reached San Hai, about 4-5 episodes have already aired. I immediately noticed how different the season is compared to the others.
The art style was actually very similar to the other seasons and if I didn't know better that a different studio handled it, I would think the style was the same. If I were to say which art style
...
I prefer it would probably be the third season because the characters look more detailed and mature. Though this also contributed to 'normalizing' the show as well. The backgrounds were pretty nice too and I've noticed some big changes with the setting/background art. Most of which were improvements in making the scenes more immersive.
The bgm wasn't too attention-attracting for me or maybe I just wasn't paying attention. However, I noticed that for this season I had a lot more easier time paying attention to the soundtrack maybe because the season lacked the immense silliness from the previous seasons that distracted me from it or because the bgms were catchier. The OP theme Chochocho! Yuru Yuri Capriccio!!!, I would agree with most others that it lacks in impact. As for the ED Acchu~ma Seishun!, I wouldn't say it's the best out there but it was better than the OP for me. I still prefer the music from S1 and S2. But the band in the ED theme was really cute!
What I've noticed the most is that it seemed a lot more subtle and casual with less craziness happening. Even Chinatsu and Kyoko who are supposed to be the crazy ones in the show have been toned down. We don't get to see as much of Chinatsu's crazy side besides her obsession with Yui and occasional twisted tendencies towards Akari. Chitose also does not fantasize as much which isn't exactly a bad thing since it was getting old for me anyways. Though Kyoko is still completely random with her ideas but I definitely felt that she was more subtle. I don't know, I guess Kyoko seemed more immature in the previous seasons and seemed more reliable in the third season and I'm fine with this change too. However, one of the things that disappointed me was that the intro before the show starting with Akari is now gone but in its place, Akari is now more noticeable as a protagonist during the show. The eyecatches with the catchy music is now gone too but eyecatches normally portraying a scene still exist.
Overall, I would say I enjoyed this show a lot and since this show aired on Mondays for me, for a while even if it was short, Mondays weren't as depressing and boring for me as before. No matter what, this show was able to somehow put a smile on my face after my dreadful tiring day of work. Even if this show was a lot more calm, it doesn't take away the core value of this show as one of the best or better slice of life comedy animes out there.
10/10 for making my Mondays amusing.
9/10 because no Akari intros + not as much Chinatsu horror.
Sorry for wasting everyone's time with this boring and unremarkable review of mine if anyone noticed this review.

Gosick is a mystery, drama, and romance anime taking place after WWI that focuses on the main characters Victorique and Kujo. This show tells a strong tale of romance even in the midst of all the tension after WWI and close before WWII.
Story: 10/10
The story was simply amazing, as it wasn't a show focused on mystery with romance as a subplot developing on the side. Each mystery not only related to and revealed more about Victorique as a character but also advanced her relationship Kujo further, showing how each mystery is essential and irreplaceable for the story. Also, the story takes place in historical context
...
and is able to successfully tell such a heart-warming and touching story within the intense and dreadful setting from the time between two large scale wars. The story runs throughout the 24 episodes at a steady pace and felt complete with the phenomenal ending.
Art: 9/10
This show had fascinating art, being aired in 2011. It also portrayed the time period really well, making you feel as if you were actually there at the time with the background art and the clothing design for the characters.
Sound: 9/10
The OP was really nice, and the way each episode ended with the ED just creates a mood to see the next episode, especially the first ED. The BGMs were also one of the parts of the show that made me feel like I was actually there, up close in some of the scenes. Sometimes when Victorique gets upset and maybe loud, it never felt annoying to me at all. (Even when she's singing)
Characters: 9/10
For the main characters, we have Kujo, who seems to always be able to involve himself in some sort of mystery wherever he goes and Victorique, who is brilliant at solving mysteries but has her talents totally isolated and depreciated for one reason or another. Almost all the characters have clear dreams and goals they wish to achieve and all put in more than enough effort to achieve them. While Victorique might seem to be stubborn, cold, and distant at first, but as the show goes on, she'll become the type of character you can almost never forget. And while Kujo might seem like the typical "nice guy" and dense main character, he isn't as he actually very clear about who he deeply cares about.
Enjoyment: 10/10
I've been a huge fan of mystery when I was younger, but as I got older I couldn't find good sources for mystery as much and soon came to forget my interest in the genre. However, this anime brought it back to me as each mystery captivated me and entrapped me within the plot along with the characters in the show. I couldn't stop watching the show and finished it in just one day.
This show is a masterpiece, all the way from the alluring start of the show to the emotional and complete end. I have no complaints about this show at all mostly and this is one of my favorite animes out there.
Overall=10/10 ^^

While Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka does not have much of a story, it's a slice of life/comedy anime about cute girls and cute activities, so that's to be expected.
Story: 7/10?
There's nothing much to say about the story in this case, since there wasn't much plot. But that's not the point of these types of shows. This anime was meant to provide entertainment through supplying joy and bringing moe to its own notable level.
Art: 9/10
The art was really impressive and the character designs were really cute, and captivating. The art is probably the best part of the show, since it really brings out to gentleness
...
of the setting and cuteness of the characters. The characters are colorful and diverse in appearance and made them all attractive in their own way too.
Sound: 8/10
The thing I like about the sound the most was probably the voices. In some of these cute animes out there, all the characters almost sound exactly the same, but that wasn't the case here. I think each character had a distinctive enough voice, so that even if I were to not see the character's faces, I could tell who was talking. Also, the character's voices weren't as annoying and ear-piercing as some other moe slice of life/comedies out there. There isn't much to mention about the OP and the EDs and they aren't exactly unforgettably amazing. The background music contributed to each of their respective scenes too.
Character: 9/10
Along with their colorful appearances, each of the main characters also had colorful personalities. Although there wasn't lots of character development, the characters act out on their own interesting personalities which is enough to bring most people to a smile. However, there is some character development in some of the characters as they start to open up more or be more honest with themselves, but that might not be what most people pay attention to. The characters also weren't random comedic characters that were thrown together into one show and were in harmony with one another.
Enjoyment: 9/10
I was paying a lot of attention to each of the scenes in the show and actually didn't get around to listening to the BGM as much. Maybe because the BGM wasn't anything special or the scenes themselves were entertaining and distracted me from the BGM. This show was really enjoyable and I couldn't stop laughing in some scenes out of joy (also couldn't stop delighting over others because of the cuteness) even though I'm not all that much into slice of life/comedy animes without an engaging plot.
That being said, this show is above mostly average in terms of the comedy and slice of life genre and is amusing enough even without a truly engaging plot. And of course, this show might not fit to the tastes of some people.

Kotoura-san is a comedy and romance/drama. I typically like fantasy/supernatural, action, and drama genres, so I didn't expect much from this show, but it was surprisingly attractive in its own way. Kotoura's life has been nothing but a road of sad memories ever since her childhood, but now she's taken a different road, starting with the encounter of fellow student shining with positivity. Of course, past mistakes and problems can't be resolved that easily, and it'll take time for Kotoura and her newfound friends to restore the happiness that she had lost.
Story: 7/10
The story might seem a bit tragic at first, and many would expect
...
an emotional coaster, but it really isn't as dark as it seems from first glance. From then on, the show is actually more light and comedic. Of course, the story has its fair share of serious moments as well. I think the story is satisfying even if it is more comedy than drama because Kotoura, the main female protagonist, had a very tragic past, and it was fair that her life was shown to get better after her childhood years of suffering. Otherwise, the viewers would feel way too bad for her and the story would be branded as nothing but a sad and pitiful tragedy that would never be resolved. The stories for some of the main characters were a bit anti-climatic or didn't have much of a resolution, but other than that the main story focusing on Kotoura was nice.
Art: 7/10
The art and animation weren't top notch but was bearable enough for me to watch the whole series without being disappointed or distracted from the story. I specifically like Kotoura's character design and the others' were fair. The chibi art styles in some scenes were fun to watch and were well done too.
Sound: 7/10
The first ED song - Kibou no Sora was rather good and emotional too. The voices were alright, including Kotoura's which was pretty cute. The OP and EDs are nothing memorable but last throughout the show.
Character: 9/10
The best part about the show is the main female protagonist, Kotoura who I could relate with the most. Her life experiences and troubles are very similar to mine when I was younger. At some point in my life, I had lost hope too, like Kotoura, and I stopped trying to make friends and shut myself away from the outside world because of how I had been treated in the past. In Kotoura's case, she met a fellow student, Manabe who didn't mind her for who she was and accepted her. (There aren't many people who are like Manabe from where I come from at least) If this were to happen in real life, and a unfortunate person were to meet some good friends, their life would change for the better immediately too, especially if they yearn for company and friendship, so the character development is logical. You can clearly see Kotoura's character development with her opening up to more people and even developing feelings for Manabe. The treatment she got from some of the main characters might have been chilly at first, but one doesn't just expect a student who is made fun of constantly to suddenly become popular with everyone. The way the other characters eventually came to accept Kotoura for who she was flowed really naturally and didn't feel too forced. It took effort to bring the group of friends together which was respectable.
Enjoyment: 8/10
The show is enjoyable while being watched, and can provide you with enough fun and interest to finish the show. After watching it and comparing it with some other emotional, drama animes, this show really isn't the greatest one out there, but this show wasn't bad in terms of in the slice of life/comedy genre since it isn't too cliche. A relevant story and clear aim accompanied by enough serious moments are provided anyway. The events are mostly logical and correlates with reality, if that's what you're looking for.
Overall: 7/10
The show isn't anything special and probably won't be too memorable, but it's a good experience to be able to sympathize with some of the characters, at least for me.

Since this is the Second Season, most unanswered questions were answered here. Hitsugi no Chaika: Avenging Battle puts forth new questions in a deeper story about memories which define one's personality.
Story: 9/10
The story that was started in the previous First Season ends here in the Second Season as we get to explore it in more depth. The conclusion was fitting, but felt a little bit rushed towards the end, especially the last episode. The pacing was fine throughout the other episodes otherwise. The story becomes more complex in this season as darker secrets appear to be uncovered. Sometimes sequels will completely ruin a show and
...
sometimes they make it even better. This show did go deeper into the story and didn't stray away from it, so it wasn't worsened, but the quality of the story didn't improve either. The First Season already gave a good start to a good story and the Second Season finished it off with an appropriate conclusion.
Art: 7/10
The art is good, thus 7/10, but the problem in the art isn't because the animation is cheap, but that the character designs were nothing too admirable. The animation is actually great especially for battle scenes. It's just I've seen many shows out there that have amazing character designs that captivate me completely, but this show at least has a distinctive feel to it and definitely was far from bad. (Chaika's eyebrows) The background art was important to this show as it the characters travel, with their environment constantly changing, and it wasn't handled badly in any way at all.
Sound: 8/10
The opening and ending still stayed consistent with theme of the story and the background music doesn't ever get old or annoying. The voices were my favorite part. I felt that the voice actors all portrayed their character's personalities really well. There are some shows where the voice and the character seem out of sync and unnatural, but this show definitely has a well done connection between the characters and the voice actors. Akari's voice really went well with her comedic remarks, Fredica's voice actor really did a good job of portraying her voice in all different forms (Dominica, the dragoon, and Fredrica). The voices for the other characters were definitely well thought out and even the beserk and antagonistic characters didn't sound like monsters. What caught me the most was Chaika's voice because I'm a fan of cute characters, but it wasn't overly cute up to the point where that was her only trait, making her a strong but adorable and lovable female lead.
Character: 9/10
Chaika wants to find out more about herself because she starts to feel uncertain about her existence. Tooru is against it, wanting to protect her from danger. Red Chaika starts becoming more active in stealing the remains getting one step ahead of the main cast. More Chaikas start appearing, one of them being the one the First Season ended off on: Vivi. The informant guy starts to have more of an active role than he did before. There's lots of character development and change everywhere, and each of the characters deal with the changing situation in their own way, since as noticed in the previous season, the personalities of the characters vary from one to another making it a diverse cast.
Enjoyment: 9/10
I really enjoyed this series from the moment I picked it up and the moment I finished. Chaika was an innocent, cute, and overall likable main female lead that was consistent with her character even as she learned more of the truths in the world. She really wasn't as weak as she seemed. Most female leads when hit with a tragic truth go down in despair and need the protagonist to cheer them and motivate them back up again, but Chaika didn't need to. My enjoyment came mostly out of the characters: Chaika's strong will and Akari's well delivered comedic remarks. If the story is good, but the characters don't flow naturally with the story it makes it hard to watch. The characters really fit along with the setting and plot, making it original and an irreplaceable anime.
Overall=9/10
Definitely a anime worth watching (Of course, starting with the First Season)

Hitsugi no Chaika focuses on Chaika, the main character, who only has one meaning in her life that she knows of: to collect the remains of her dead father. If you're told you are nothing more than a tool involved in a larger plan, what would you do?
Story: 8/10
The story might strike you as that of a typical fantasy-adventure genre show, but it's not. It gives you a sense of mystery, as questions are left unanswered at first, to be answered later. The plot is not overly complicated and new ideas and plot twists are introduced not too suddenly. The one good thing is that
...
there are perspectives from different sides. We don't just get to see a one-sided perspective from the main cast, but also views from other groups of characters, which was handled with enough care. The story might not be a masterpiece, but it certainly is enough to stand out from the large quantities of animes out there in some way.
Art: 7/10
The art wasn't necessarily one of the strong points of the show because I've seen better styles, but was unique in it's own way. The animation was particularly good, because there weren't any particularly noticeable reused battle scenes. Since most battles each took place at different locations, in different environments, the animated scenes were mostly original each time. The character designs were alright, but nothing to make you fall for it, but not look away in disappointment either.
Sound: 8/10
The sound played its role in this anime well. The opening and ending set the mood for the current episode and the next. The voices were fine, especially Chaika's voice, which conveyed her innocence, but also her determination. Akari's deeper and more mature voice added for a more diverse feel for the voices with a larger range.
Character: 8/10
As the story goes on, you'll not only find out more about Chaika, the main character, as she develops, but also about the side characters, as they develop. All the characters contribute to the plot and development of the main characters in some way, and aren't just there to keep the show populated. Some characters have are brimming with enough determination to keep you captivated in their goals. The Chaikas hold unique personalities even if known by the same name. The protagonist is somewhat stubborn and follows a code of honor along with her sister Akari, which is not overly stressed to the point it gets in the way of the plot. Akari has her fits of jealousy and adds some comic relief to the show, but in a enjoyable way. The main Chaika has an unbelievably strong will, despite her innocent and delicate stature. However, many characters have questions left unanswered, but there's a Second Season for that.
Enjoyment: 9/10
It might just be me, because I like fantasy/supernatural genre animes, but I found this show captivating enough to keep me busy and continue with the show, as some episodes end in suspense. The show was fun at some points and serious at others. The "fun" part of it, wasn't relieved with fan service or simple jokes, but rather each moment felt natural with the story and wasn't a compilation of acts for the characters to act out on.
