This season has some really good newcomers and some(why) pretty popular stuff. Probably thats why it is a bigger achievement for this anime, because we could say after the first three episodes, Tengoku Daimakyou is possibly the most interesting story and world from this season so far. I really love the way of the presentation of the world, and the possible two sides in the anime. Somewhere its kinda gore, somewhere it is pretty funny, but all in all the world building is interesting and that bring me back after the pilot.
Not perfect since the anime has no balance so far in many senses.
...
But I would absolutely reccomend to check it, it is not a hyped shounen, not a visual eye candy anime, but looks a real old-school seinen. The mystery and the controversial topics are always good, and not because it triggers a lot of people (like EPISODE 3 did) but because we could see a non overused theme.
I am curious about the next episodes. 7/10 yet for me.

As some people would call it, the Anime movie of the year. And yeah I can accept it because I felt this movie was made with the same attitude as Koe no Katachi and Kimi no na Ha. As it tried to show something deeper story in a fantasy surface like the other two mentioned. And besides, it came with an Audio-visual AAA and left a bit more than an average Anime movie. For me, at least the biggest positive is the fact, that Suzume had a soul. Let me elaborate.
For the first Suzume has no prologue like the other two. It starts in medias
...
res. Suzume meets a guy, opens a door, let out something, becomes gifted and sees something supernatural. They close a door and go to the next adventure. In this aspect as an adventure it was great. I am currently traveling through Japan, and they been even places where I did also. I loved the scenes of Shikoku and then Kobe also. Was the buildup part of the main story, but I felt this part would show the deeper and more emotional story. At this point, I have to mention I think the Suzume no Tojimari storyline is a bit too much in the sense of Fantasy, and because of this, these scenes are very hardly intertwinable with the emotional depth. And it is true Vica versa. Because there was not too much time to elaborate on Suzumes trauma it had no real impact on the release. I would say the same to the mystery part because we can guess at the end, what are exactly these doors for Suzume and others. So in one sentence, basically doors are just metaphors. And progress is the Real treasure. But I have to say, (even though, it could be better in sense of transition of fantasy and the topic,)I appreciate and love this kind of enjoyable and not so dark, but the light style of a real-world setup fantasy.
Besides some not so good looking CGI (only like 3-4 in the whole movie) this movie is an audio-visual orgasm. Sadly THAT song did not come only twice but others were awesome and obviously contributed to the doors and world through the doors.
Characters were also the main focus. I think it is not a huge story, but Suzume as the main protagonist was the best among some of them.
All in all, I don't think it is a 10/10 Anime, more like a 7-8 but absolutely recommend watching it.

Honestly the Ooyukiumi no Kaina is kind of an interesting (and on a certain level kinda unique) experience. And possibly one of the biggest surprises for me this year so far. Not because it is too unique, since the story is not that good, but because the world is really interesting to me.
I did not see the trailer, just started because the cover looked a bit more interesting than the 7th billion Isekai cliché and one of the tenth other school romance dullness. In the top of it, I Love when something tries to show a different Point of View, a not overused cliché, or
...
in this case, not the million times have seen a mediocre fantasy world.
So the best one I think is the world. I was shocked when in the first episode the anime shows us the starting point of this world because the world was the biggest punchline and reason to watch the whole series. To see this animated weird forest-skypea mazelike world reminded me of some animes with an outstandingly great world like Made in Abyss or (with a bit of exaggeration) One Piece. So for me, it is at the same time exotic, surreal, and unique. And I love the way the anime build its environment.
Probably the CGI animation is the worst part of the anime, but it is decent and not the unwatchable kind of CGI. Not the best, though. But alongside the music, the whole vibe of the anime is simply wondrous and charming. Those make the world a bit more "living".
I feel the story is a bit outsider. Like every second fantasy has a similar story to Ooyukiumi no Kaina, and the only thing that saves it from mediocrity is curiosity about the world. That has not too deep Mystery and History like One Piece has, or can not shows deep nature presentation like Made in Abyss does. So I would not say Ooyuki no Kaina is on this level, but at least it is trying to make something that is not the basic shitty million-times-seen cliché fantasy (/or isekai) bulls***.
That is why I tell you, you should at least give try to Ooyukiumi no Kaina.

I am reading the manga and that is a funny shounen-ish child anime that use to be ridiculous so many times. I have not expected this kind of adaptation since the episodes are pretty short and there is a lot of content that would be enough for like a 12-episode show.
This adaptation got only 2-3 minute episodes far not enough to get involved in the Boku to Roboko's sense of humor. Because the whole humor is based on somewhen childish but more like gag humor and it is the engine of the whole Roboko. There is no real story in the manga, mostly just
...
random situations which could be weird af.
As a manga reader, it is short though, but it is quite okay. I was laughing my ass off even at the end of the first episode. If the same amount of content would be in a whole 20 minutes episode like in a normal season, I would not recommend Boku to Roboco in its current state. But since it is only 2 minutes per episode, I think it is worth a try.

So, I am not a manga reader, so do not know too much about the Tokyo Revengers manga. However, during season One I felt something about the whole thing. I felt like the story tries to show me something that is a shounen but goes 180 degrees to a different location. Well, It is, but unfortunately, it is not a good thing.
Even though the fact, that first season even had some flaws, for me, neither Takemitchy nor the Tokyo Manji Gang was not irritating. I loved the way that Takemitchy tried to show for spectators, despite his Rivercrying no Jutsu... And was kinda exaggerated but
...
Manji gang was okay. Yep, it has some questions about the Gang but for me was a nice group that was only for Takemitchy's development (at least for a while) and supported the story. Well, after a year off I have to admit, this story is a big bulls**t. I am sorry but this is nonsense promiscuity.
As I wrote a bit upper, never have I ever read the manga and did not know the manga of Tokyo Revengers is a neverending shounen prototype. Probably it sounds not a big deal but it is. For me, even the Season One worked only because of the (questionable) character development of the Protagonist. But doing this stupid time travel without a good point is simply ridiculous.
Unfortunately, the Second season does not help at all. So far, this season is unambiguously awful. The whole story started to get confusedly mixed up and the whole happenings were just irrelevant. And I can not even say the new storyline is bad because it does not even exist. The second season so far wants to show the result of a problem (with probably Mikey) that WE DO NOT KNOW.
Also, episode by episode I am getting irritated slowly by Takemitchy. Since the Middle of the first season, his development is non-existent. Probably this is why I can not recommend this anime right now because people mocked Takemitchy as he was a crybaby, but I was never get irritated by him. Until the first episode of this season.
For me, personally, with this neverending style this story does not work, this concept can not be coherent to be a longer story. After this first bigger part starts to stagger in the aspect of coherency.
I am sorry but this whole Tokyo Revengers turns into a really deep mess. TR Second Season yet is a pointless irrelevant promiscuity, with an undetailed story that (I think) should not even, come this far(at least not in this way).

So FIRST: This movie is a weird hybrid, more like a shounenish MUSICAL rather than a previously expected 100% shounen movie.
AND SECOND: I think the storyline of the movie and the attitude of Toei utterly do not contribute to this vivid world.
THIRD: Movie titled RED but Shanks is not a main character of the movie, he has a longer cameo, but that is ALL!
Prologue:
Before I start the real review, I have to say something about One Piece, and about my connection to One Piece. For my One Piece the anime for a long time, even though I do not tend to like mainstream shounen,
...
somewhy me, as an adult close to 30 this whole complex world simply enraptured Arc by Arc. I had hard times with One Piece when I started more than 10 years ago, and probably not the best show ever, and not the show that contributed to most of my adulthood, still think One Piece itself is a miracle and am proud to be a part of it and I am 100% will be a One Piece fan until the end of the series.
Storyline:
The storyline of the movie is about Uta, a great singer who is a viral Den-Den Mushinternet star, and recently undertook her first IRL concert, on the Island of Music, so-called ELEGIA. First, it looks like a concert, but it reveals a lot of pirates who want to kidnap Uta, probably for bribe money, but none of them - even the SuperStrong Big-Mom Pirates- is able to do it. Soon, Uta reveals her plan, which she calls "New Genesis" which is a peaceful Dreamworld where everyone is equal, which means mostly dead. Also, a new "antagonist" is mysteriously revealed the TOT MUSICA. The WG, Akainu, Gorosei, Pirate crews and soon everybody wants to stop UTA.
I MUST mention this movie can not be inserted anywhere in the storyline. So for me, it is 100% COMPLETE FILLER, even though Uta was mentioned in the Manga once. Was a bit confusing because, for example, if you are up to date on the manga, you must know, this movie contained a lot of characters that obviously CAN NOT appear after Wano, but like Sanji or Luffy late on in the movie used a skill that is from or after WANO.
REVIEW:
I think in these kinds of criticism far easier to highlight the problematic things, and because of it, the CONs part could be longer than the PRO part. For this reason, I start with the GOOD part. As I mentioned before, It was not a standard shounen movie. I love One Piece's uniqueness, and this movie has a good one in the style, which was pretty interesting. So, basically, even though it has an all-variety of shounen demographic styles (like fights, skills, etc), still this movie was closer to a musical in the genre. We heard at least 10 songs during these 100 minutes, and the songs were pretty cool. And surprise, the audio part was simply DOPE, outstandingly GOOD. The kashuu (Singer) did a great job with Uta's songs, which was unquestionably the BEST part of the movie. And because the songs were connected to Uta's skills, a lot of fights were like a well-choreographed AMV video mashup.
So in one world, the style of this movie was unique. However, this uniqueness probably does not for everyone. Some people could call it weird as I did, and I know it could be a double-edged sword so maybe there could be a layer that does not like this musical/shounen style.
Also, the second PRO for me is the last fight. Yep, it was not too long. Yep, the animation in the whole movie was so-so. But MY GOD, the last fight was really interesting... even though the fact story did not but it is too early. So it was a World of Warcraft RAID boss fight, with 3 factions in two timelines, but instead of the TANK HEAL DAMAGE holy trinity, we got Fighters, Guardians, Gatekeepers, Realm-Projectors (Usopp/Yasopp;Katakuri/Brulee). For me it was phenomenal. Short but readable.
Yet, I have to turn to the CONs soon, and this is a good start. Since the Movie was maybe entitled partly to Shanks, but he does not fight. We saw him and his whole crew but did not show any specific skills. The most mentionable move of him was to slice and dice with his -OBVIOUSLY- One-Handed sword against Kizaru and the final boss. I expected far more, especially after the buildup of Uta's character which showed a lot of relations with Shanks and the Akagami no Kaizokudan. But probably it was an acceptable choice to not show Shanks's skills since we still do not know too much about him.
But the movie showed something else about Shanks, and hell yeah, I would be MAD really MAAAADDDD if it would be the part of Original storyline. They showed some fractions of Shanks's childhood, like only glimpses of the past but without any sense. It was only good to make some more questions about Shanks's anyway too much mystery character. And this is because I said One Piece would lose its uniqueness if this movie would be part of the Story. And not this is the only example of this.
The whole Uta story was like something they forgot, something important. Hard to formulate what is it, but a lot of happenings in the movie were clearly artificial. And even though, the One Piece world is kinda artificial BUT IN A GOOD WAY, this movie was the same artificial but in a BAD way. The island of Elegia ITSELF was artificial in a bad way. It has no purpose besides the movie. I love the One Piece world, so, a Music Island, WHY NOT? There are a lot of characters that are connected to the Music, like Apoo, Brook, etc... BUT without any place in the actual One Piece world, it is just simply self-serving. Even cameo characters (Blueno for example), the overused jokes (with BEPOO), and the unjustified cute characters were also self-serving here. It felt like and outcast, if we take the original storyline.
And this is true not only for Uta, but for the whole island of Elegia, and everything itself. Elegia's past does not affect the world. We did not know anything about the chaos in the past of this island before. One Piece has several trillion mysterious or interesting things but they came up with a new "oh GOD we never heard about this" enemy, the TOT MUSICA and demon-god. Truly, I am speechless about this.
And the worse of the worst is connected to this. Uta's plan was ridiculous, even though it was anticipated by the whole World Government, Uta easily outwitted 70% of the world (Including Yonkou crew, Gorosei, Admirals, Government, Celestial Dragons, Cypher Pol agents) with some singing and a bunch of magic-mushrooms. In one sentence, I LOVE TO THINK about One Piece's complexity, and why that is why I think this whole story of this movie is simply below mediocre.
I saw the movie twice. Once in a cinema in 4DX for the experience, but after the second I find the worst part, which is this movie thinks the whole One Piece world is like 1-bit shounen bullshit, and that should be a trigger point for any One Piece fans. I love One Piece because of its complexity, in One Piece every single small act has at least a previous reason. Because of this, I DO NOT ACCEPT that a depressive singer outwitted this complex world with a stupid 4/10 plan.
If you could abstract from the real storyline, this movie could be a nice experience with a unique musical-shounen style, with a lot of funny scenes and some interesting cameos then, I would recommend it. In this case, it is a 7/10 movie.
But if we take the OG One Piece complexity and the world-class world, this movie is 5 out of 10 in the best scenario, and 3 out of that 5 are the songs.
