'Sousei no Aquarion: Myth of Emotions' Unveils Additional Cast, Staff, Theme Songs, First Promo

The official website for the Sousei no Aquarion: Myth of Emotions television anime series revealed additional cast, staff, theme songs, and the main promotional video on Saturday. The anime is scheduled to premiere on January 10 at 12:30 a.m. on Tokyo MX, followed by TV Aichi, tvk, BS Asahi, and AT-X.

AKINO from bless4 (Sousei no Aquarion) and Yoshiki Fukuyama (Fantasy Bishoujo Juniku Ojisan to) are performing the opening theme "Sousei no Aquarion Myth of Emotions Ver." and AKINO also performs the ending theme "Kokuhaku."

Kenji Itoso (Santa Company) helms the anime at Satelight. Sadayuki Murai (Sabikui Bisco) is handling the series composition and Masashi Kudou (Bleach) is designing the characters. Takashi Oomama (Kidou Senshi Gundam: Suisei no Majo) and Shuu Kanematsu (Hametsu no Oukoku) is composing the music.

The original mecha franchise, created by Shouji Kawamori and animation studio Satelight, began in 2005 with the 26-episode Sousei no Aquarion anime series. Aquarion Evol, the second installment, aired in 26 episodes in Winter 2012. The third and latest entry in the franchise, Aquarion Logos, premiered in Summer 2015. Funimation licensed all three series and streamed them with subtitles and English dubs.

Damn it's ugly. Looks more like american animation than anime. Evol was fine for the most part but it shat the bed towards the end so badly, it already put me off the whole franchise. I hope Kawamori no longer directing recent Aquarion installments means he's actually working on a new Macross that doesn't suck. Satelight instead of wasting time and money on trash like this, could fix the atrocious animation in episode 7 or 8 in Macross F for its anniversary. IIRC it has been released on BD again some time ago but they didn't bother to fix the episode that looks like it's missing most of key animation.
