Publishing company Kodansha announced a television anime adaptation of Kuzushiro's Amayo no Tsuki (The Moon on a Rainy Night) manga on Saturday and revealed an illustration by Kuzushiro to commemorate the announcement.

Kuzushiro began serializing the girls love drama web manga in the Comic Days website in June 2021. Kodansha released the seventh volume on June 19 and the eighth volume is scheduled to go on sale on November 20.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in November 2022 and released the fifth volume on June 11. The sixth volume will be released on December 17.

Synopsis
One day, while rushing to a piano lesson, a girl named Saki collides with someone on the street. As Saki collects herself, the stranger picks up the sheet music Saki dropped, hands it to Saki together with a band-aid, and continues on her way—all without saying a word. Saki is left wondering about the identity of the tall, lovely stranger, only to discover the next day that she is one of her classmates at her new high school. The girl's name is Kanon, and though she is hearing impaired, she refuses any kind of support or "special treatment" from her teachers or classmates. Over the course of the year, Saki slowly grows closer to Kanon and begins to chip away at her cold exterior. (Source: Kodansha USA)

NO F*ING SH*T!!! whooo~ lessgo!!!!
I never thought we'd get an adaptation on this... but here we go!!!
I just hope Yokohama Labs and Cloud Hearts would STAY OUT of this. My trauma on Sasakoi adaptation still lingers even today.

Note: I do also hope another Kuzushiro-sensei's work, "Ani no Yome", would receive an adaptation as well in the future... highly doubt so tho, since AFAIK it wasn't as popular as Amayo no Tsuki. It has slightly more heart wrenching story than Amayo no Tsuki. But the main MC of both titles, Saki and Shino, has very similar physical and facial features. Maybe they were just Kuzushiro-sensei's taste tho.... wwwwww

@wildhood I haven't read it, but it looks like a wholesome romance like that josei about a deaf student.

A yuri manga that has a slightly higher rating than the Whisper Me a Love Song manga getting an anime? This should be good. One of the girls is apparently deaf?

Long live yuri... I think.
