'Ooi! Tonbo' 2nd Season Announces New Cast, Theme Songs

The official X (formerly Twitter) account of the Ooi! Tonbo (Tonbo!) anime series announced four new cast and the theme songs for the second season on Monday. The second season will premiere on October 5 at 10:00 a.m. on TV Tokyo, followed by October 8 at 12:30 a.m. on BS TV Tokyo. Abema and U-NEXT will also stream the anime ahead of the television broadcast.

Hinoki Otowa: Yui Ishikawa (NieR:Automata Ver1.1a)
Kurisu Ema: Marina Inoue (Boku no Hero Academia)
Hajime Udou: Eiji Hanawa (Dragon Ball Super)
Shima-san: Sanae Kobayashi (Bokura wa Minna Kawai-sou)

J-pop unit Sacra e sole and jazz-funk band TOKYO GROOVE JYOSHI are returning the perform the opening and ending themes "Seven pieces" and "Kachitaku Nacchatta ne," respectively.

The production staff from the first season reprising their roles at animation studio OLM, including director Jin-Gu Oh, series composer Mitsutaka Hirota, character designer Akira Takeuchi, and music composer Nobuko Toda.

The first anime season adapting Ken Kawasaki and Yuu Furusawa's sports drama manga aired in 13 episodes in Spring 2024. Amazon Prime simulcast the anime with subtitles and dub.

Weekly Golf Digest began serializing the golf manga in August 2014. The Golf Digest Company published the 52th volume on Sunday.

The dub isn't professional at all, it's shockingly bad for a modern dub.
