Light Novel 'Magic Maker: Isekai Mahou no Tsukurikata' Gets TV Anime in 2025

Kadokawa opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Kazuki Kaburagi's Magic Maker: Isekai Mahou no Tsukurikata (Magic Maker: How to Create Magic in Another World) light novel on Wednesday, revealing the main cast, staff, a teaser promo, and a teaser visual (pictured). The television anime is scheduled to premiere in 2025.

Kaburagi began penning the action fantasy light novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in June 2017. Kadokawa acquired the novel and published the first novel under its MF Books imprint in May 2020, featuring illustrations by Kururi. The second volume was released in December 2020.

Manga Doa began serializing a manga adaptation by Tomozou Nishioka in June 2021. The third and final volume was released in February 2023.

Synopsis
A man who was thirty years old and wanted to use magic died unexpectedly, and when he woke up, he was reborn in another world. Named Theon, he had high hopes that there would be magic in another world, but there was no magic in that world.

Theon became depressed and lethargic, but an event led him to discover the existence of magic.

"That's right. If there is no magic, then I will make it myself."

With this in mind, Theon began researching magic from that day onwards. Eventually, through the spread of a disease that can only be cured by magic, and a chance encounter with an enemy that can only be defeated by magic, Theon becomes a hero who saves the world. This is the story of a simple magic fool who, while tossed about by fate, overcomes it with the power of magic and an indomitable fighting spirit, ultimately propagating magic to the people. just finished the manga, cant believe people already hating on a trailer. while the summary is really bad lol, it just simplified and spoiled everything

the story wasnt mindblowiing but it is something different

at least the mc didnt get cheat skill from god, he didnt get spoonfed lesson from the legendary grandpa, he didnt pickup legendary item, he need to do some research to learn the power. no harem, no slave cat girl, no random bewbies flying around. so far so good

Who even writes this bs? Plot is so mind numbingly dumb that I don't even know what to say. No magic in this world - mc gets depressed and magically discovers magic. Disease that can only be cured by MAGIC and enemy that can only be defeated by MAGIC?? Ofc then the mc clears those and becomes the hero... Won't be surprised if this gets multiple seasons.

Third and final volume? So, is this likely to get a full adaptation? Shota isekai is a really strong trend right now.

Also, correct me, who knows. Megumi Han didn't get much big roles for a while after LWA, but Arima Kana brought her back into the spotlight?

Hmm, Ai Kakuma who voices Eris in Mushoku Tensei got my hopes up but then remembered, she also voiced the brat in Mofumofu which lowered my expectations. Since I can assume that Marie is the little girl and I can only hope it's not a high pitched voice like the brat i mofumofu. We'll see. Kind of want to watch this but It'll depend on voice acting mostly right now.
