'Kaijuu 8-gou' Announces Production Staff [Update 12/17]

The official website of the Kaijuu 8-gou (Kaiju No. 8) television anime announced the production staff and a key visual (pictured) on Friday. The television anime by Production I.G is set to premiere in April 2024.

The anime adapts Naoya Matsumoto's action sci-fi manga, which began serialization on the Shounen Jump+ website in July 2020. Shueisha shipped the 11th volume on December 4.

Viz Media licensed the manga in English in February 2021. The eighth volume was released on October 10, while the ninth volume is scheduled to be released on January 2. Manga Plus also simulpublishes it in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Thai, Indonesian, Russian, and French.

Update December 17
The Jump Super Stage RED at the Jump Festa 2024 event revealed a pair of additional cast and the first promotional video on Sunday. The anime is scheduled to broadcast on Tokyo MX and other channels in April 2024. It will also stream worldwide on the X (formerly Twitter) website.

Fairouz Ai (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 6: Stone Ocean) and Kengo Kawanishi (Dr. Stone) are joining the cast as Kikoru Shinomiya and Soushirou Hoshina, respectively.
