For everyone who just read this article for the first time , you don't need to read earlier comment bcoz you'll just gonna find some idiots arguing about MC which in this anime , what should be learn was about friendship with background of japanese national culture instrument.

If there are anyone who watch this anime expect to satisfy themself with something exceed others , you'll not gonna get it here.
What you'll find here is something very typical different from the others , the story and characters is just beautiful by themself.

In case you're too dumb to realize it, this series has 3 MCs, if the poster wasn't big enough of a hint. And Chika didn't appear out of nowhere. He's been there since the beginning. The Story starts with Kurata and Chika. Just because the story starts with Kurata's perspective, doesn't mean he's the only MC. Gintama started from Shinpachi's perspective but the MC is without a doubt Gintoki. You just salty because you ship didn't even get into water, much less sailing.
If you were trying to write a shitty version of what's below then you've succeeded splendidly.

@ClickBaitBuster Ehhh, but Chika's been in the series since chapter 1, and Kurata's got plenty of focus later on in the series. I kinda see Kurata as the Shinpachi (Gintama) of the series, where the story starts from their perspective, only so we can get an introduction of the actual MC through someone else's perspective. I guess the blond douche wasn't for you :P

What are you talking about? There was always Three main characters Takezou, Chika and Satowa. There was never a love triangel. It was always Chika and Satowa and Takezou and Kurusu.
Some shippers really are the cancer to anime comunity. The manga is awesome and I'm glad it will get 2 cour. I like the PV.

Reading comprehension really needs to be made mandatory in schools I think. Agree or disagree?

For those...... of lower brain stem activity, I stopped caring for this manga when they swapped MCs from the likable one to the irritating dumbass one. Him being paired with the main female lead was just the straw that broke the back.

Still with me? Not hard to understand I hope.

Also, the ART in the manga is good, there is no argument over that. The story however, is beyond meh and below subpar. But for that I will submit, personal tastes comes into play which for all intents and purposes is subjective. Superior taste even more so. I won't judge much

Either way, Spring is close and the sale numbers will prove what I already know.

Also Studio Platinum.

Pot calling kettle black on reading comprehension there bud.. You literally said “swapped MCs”. they never swapped MCs. They were both MCs from the very beginning. At no point was Chika NOT one of the MCs. Understand? You may have an issue of the fact that the FOCUS shifted more heavily in his favor more often than Takezou. Which is fine. Dumb issue, but fine. However, to say that this story was initially focused solely on Takezou and Satowa and not Chika, you know, the one with the dramatic backstory from the beginning of the show?... well, you’re just simply wrong. Period. This isn’t an opinion. It’s a fact of the story.

I for one am gonna have high hopes for this because it’s my favorite manga. They showed Chika once in his “so handsome” pose to show off the animation style they are using. I’m sure they’ll make him look rough and wild plenty to show how loud and dumb he is. I’m pumped! April 7th can’t come quick enough! 😁

Ngl, I'm disappointed with this split cours decission.
I'd rather have it I.G took charge of this project instead of Platinum. But it is what it is.
I think this will turn out to be another case where manga's still better than the anime.

Studio Platinum hasn't adapted something like Kono Oto b4 so not sure why it should mean something. Also it's the first time they're doing a 2cour show so their track record means even less lol

art style is kinda iffy to me tho Chika looks too soft and every1 looks like they're supposed to be in some otome game

Will be surprised if this gets anything more than a 2/10 from me.

I dropped the manga when they swapped MCs to the irritating blonde dumbass and when it became clear he would end up with the main female lead.

Atleast, I'll get tons of enjoyment on the /a/ threads as they destroy it week after week.

Also, Studio Platinum.

Personally I'm impressed with the PV. I was really concerned when they released the recent key visual. They looked too glossy for me, but the animation, the design of the characters and the coloring here looks pretty good.

Same, I am very VERY concerned about the adaptation. The art doesn't look good at all to me, and Platinum Vision's track record isn't promising. KOT is my favorite manga at the moment, and i'm not sure I can bear to watch its anime if it sucks. My favorite manga have a bad track record with anime adaptations. 😢

Wonderful manga, but I just can't help feeling anxious about this adaption.

Artwork is pretty good, hopefully it's not heavy on still shots for the performances. Split cour is good news because it'll need two cours in order to get the first tournament covered.

He didn't change out of nowhere. His change happened right before the series started...
Since then, he's been trying to be a better person. And that's why he was trying to help Kurata during the start of the series.
