'Bungou Stray Dogs' Gets Movie Adaptation

At the "Mayo(w)i Inu-tachi no Utage Sono Ni" event held on Sunday, it was announced that a movie featuring a new story for the Bungou Stray Dogs franchise is in production. A live action stage adaptation was also announced. More details for both new projects will be revealed at a later time.

Bungou Stray Dogs is drawn by Kafka Asagiri and Harukawa35. The series currently has eleven volumes in print, with the recent volume released on October 4, 2016. A novel adaptation has been published by Kadokawa since April 2014, with three volumes and one extra edition volume released as of yet. The manga received two anime seasons by studio Bones, which aired in Spring 2016 and Fall 2016. An OVA is scheduled to be released on August 4.

Any theories concerning Dazai's whereabouts? Apparently he will have mysteriously disappeared, so I'm a bit nervous about that.

And is this movie going to be mostly separate from the manga?

Not to mention that I am if we look for the information through "Bungou Stray Dogs", next is a column that says "Related Information for Bungou Stray Dogs" (in this case for example) and below where it says "News" Is that we see the information (a bit outdated) that there will be a movie, otherwise who is not well informed knows only the movie in the evening, I speak at least of those who do not live in Japan.

I think they should update the information even though they have little but this is just my opinion, if it will contribute to something I do not know I just say what I have to say and that's it.

Original story huh? From the poster I guess it'll be focused on The Doube Black, Dazai and Chuuya. I hope it'll show us more of Dazai past with Chuuya, it always fun to see both of them together. lol

Yeah but if MC is also on the poster and in the teaser, I doubt it's going to be a background story, unless it's a flashback based film. I wish there was more info. Oh well, I'm buying the manga as it gets released here in the US to support the franchise for now !

It is slowly releasing news because there's still OVA release this Summer, and up until recently official site was releasing OVA information and goods.

Yeah I am lucky to like this anime alot!

Don't care when it's the release date but this news alone making me more likeness to BSD! I will sure to rewatch s1 & s2 before this comes out!

Hopefully this is prequel movie.
