Accidentally summoned to another world along with two others, only to be trained by a mean ogre?
Fight, get beaten, forced to run for miles without stopping, healed and then doing all these things again while healing yourself nonstop. Would be a hell of a torture routine in order to get into shape.
Characters like Usato, getting summoned, kidnapped by an ogre, trained harsly in order to be one of the greatest healers
this fantasy world has ever seen, would be interesting enough to read about. In order to not get whooped by demons that are lurking behind the bushes, Usato, his classmate Kazuki and senpai
...
Suzune need to be the heroes to end the creepy lurking demons once and for all.
The stuff mentioned above would be the plot in the first volume but in order not to spoil for readers of this review, I'm not mentioning everything.
Our heroes gets stronger in their own way. As Usato is basically kidnapped by this mean ogre like woman called Rose, his friends have their own training to do. Which in my opinion, isn't that interesting due to the major training regimen Usato goes through in the first volume. This funny training regimen is what got me interested in this series.
The illustrations in this physical light novel are quite weak in my honest opinion. But there are quite a few of them so it is nice to have a small break during the reading and just watch the illustration of the scene which was just described in the story.
Personally, this series is recommended for those who really enjoy reading about character development and the story behind this ogre for example. Some parts felt quite lame and could probably have been skipped but it seems like those as well are a waypoint forward to meet new characters. This series story and development doesn't give me a strong attachment to it and I take my time reading it leisurely as each volume can be read quite quickly. I'd recommend you to check out the anime first a bit and then decide if you want to dive in to this series.
