I've read a TON of shoujo by now, so I think it's safe to say Anagura Amélie is pretty unique. The basic story is familiar (unpopular high school girl starts dating the most popular boy in school) but the characters and the writing make it really fresh. I'm surprised this manga seems so undiscovered when it's legitimately unique and funny. The protagonist, Amélie, in particular is a character I don't think I've ever seen in shoujo, in many ways the complete opposite of a shoujo protagonist, but not in any of the usual ways that I've seen authors try to be different. all black all the time so she doesn't have to bother washing her clothes more than the bare minimum, her room's a wreck. She's an awkward nerd, a total spaz, and a badass who couldn't care less what other people think when she causes a scene. If you're a fan of shoujo, I definitely recommend it. If you're the type of person that enjoys particularly good or unique manga romance, but dislike a lot of shoujo for it all seeming basically the same with generic characters, then you might like this one too.
The one caveat is that I've only read 12 chapters, so I can't say if it keeps up its level of quality the whole way. The one criticism I have, which is very minor, is that the manga was written in 2016, and seems fairly up to date on internet culture, yet it seems like all the movies they talk about are mostly from the 90's which is just weird.
