The Pig Bride. Quite enjoyable. I was expecting something more hilarious but it turned out to be romantic. The story line is not difficult to figure out but it is very sweet and innocent. The art is typical ---cute, skinny, big eyes, lovely hair,, money... As for characters, you will learn to like the female characters because they all are individually complicated and just plain "human".

I'm only writing this review because there is not one at the moment so it might not be good

This manga is about a girl with a pig mask and a boy who meets her as a kid and they agree to get marred though he is eight years old and wasn't really paying attention, she says will meet on his 16 birthday. He thinks it's a dream and on his birthday she comes down to see him and he is not happy about marrying someone he doesn't know, can't see her face of and generally not happy that he is forced into ... it as you would be if it was a promise made at eight years old .

Has a good amount of comedy and made me laugh at times. The art is good not the best this ever but nothing to be disappointed over. The characters are very likeable and fun to read about. One thing I personally didn't like is there wasn't that much background story on the side characters I mean there was a few pages on it but I personally would have liked to see more and maybe a side love story but who knows I have only read to volume 4 I can't find volume 5 in English so there might be that stuff in there later on.

Over all it was allot better than I thought it would be when I first read on MAL what it was about I was sceptical but is was good enjoyable I haven't finished it as I said but I would recommend it to anyone who has nothing to read and it looking for something to.

STORY:
Pig Bride has a premise I have never read before. This manhwa was ridiculously hilarious around the first two chapters and anytime they flash backed to children, but after that the story's momentum dulled to me. I was so impatient to see Mu-Yeon's true face, but the manhwa author drug that reveal to the last possible moment. It was even longer before Si-Joon saw her. The wait to see Mu-Yeon's face might irk you or hold your interest until the end as intended. There is a strong theme of reincarnation and a mystery dream, that doesn't take long to decipher.

CHARACTERS:
Ji-oh is my favorite. He's ... level-headed, smart, and a deadpan snarker. If he hadn't been in this manHwa it would have been less enjoyable. He helped speed up the plot by dropping truth bombs and causing Si-Joon to rethink his feelings. He is the funniest one in the entire story.

My next favorite character would be Mu-Hwa, the ninja-like sister, who doesn't talk. She is so pretty! I wish her and Mu-Yeon could've switched faces.

Si-Joon is okay. You could argue he is a bit of a flat character, but he's likable enough.

Doe-Doe teeters on the line of annoying to interesting. She comes off as the cutesy, sweet girl but is actually aggressive enough in nature to pimp slap some girls to back off her man. I don't like or dislike her, it just feels like she was there to fulfill the love rival role. The good thing is toward the end her character matures. I suppose the "most character development" award goes to her.

I found Mu-Yeon's innocence funny. She is a cute character! In the final chapter, she's so cheeky.

ART:
I am neutral with the art style. It is a bit off at times with far apart eyes, clothes being too big, or full body scales. However, it is sufficient for whatever it needed to convey.

OVERALL:
It is a nice enough story to give it a try. If it holds your interest past the first few chapters and you don't get too eager to see Mu-Yeon's face then you might like this manhwa. The enjoyment I had in the beginning returned in the ending chapter. Although, I would have liked to see more of their futures. There were some loose ends, so it could be considered lackluster.

SN: The 'special CD' given to Si-Joon made me burst out laughing!
