I finished reading Natsuyuki Rendezvous and got curious about the other works the author has made. I stumbled upon this manga and searched for translated versions, but I could only find 4 volumes. I've never been more glad to know Japanese, I bought all seven volumes and finished them in a day.

I'm a sucker for historical and isekai stories, so this manga was right up my alley. I'm sad that this work of art isn't well known. The art is amazing, the plot is interesting and the main characters are likable. It's still ongoing, volume 7 ended on a cliffhanger and I'm dying ... to know what happens next.

Namidaame to Serenade is a very good read, especially if you like time travel/romance story. This is my first ever review, so this was probably not very helpful.

this manga is refreshing.
I've been looking for a romance manga and this one actually has a good plot. It's mysterious and suspenseful and the characters actually have brains. I read this in one sitting because it was compelling, but like every story it is by no means perfect. I do notice some disjointed moments where the author seemed to purposefully make certain scenarios/misunderstandings occur to make the story move along but it isn't anything that degrades the whole quality immensely.
The atmosphere is great, i went in thinking it was going to be a fluffy story but was surprised to see it has darker elements ... to it. The romance is good, it's normal, not fast or slow or brainless. I mean, maybe it can be a little slow but I find it more sweeter that way.

Love all the characters especially because they seem like real people with motives and own will. I loved the "2nd lead" just because he was intelligent.

Setting is fun!! I love old time Japan and I haven't seen a lot of manga explore the early 1900s and if they did, it probably didn't appeal to the target audience I'm in. Themes in this one include identity, arranged engagement, freedom, complexities of love...
This series is an isekai but it isn't those dumb one where the dry MC has to make the hot duke or whatever fall in love with them to survive. She's actually wondering why situations happen to her and is actively trying to figure out a way to go back using her own self. I have high expectations for the story, and the plot twist (hopefully there is one and I'd actually be very disappointed if there isn't one), but so far this manga has been one of the better shoujos I've read in a while.

I'm so glad I found this manga. Reading the first synopsys, I immediately got curious about it, since it's about time travel and romance. The characters are all likeable, each has depth to them. The art is very pleasing to the eyes, we get to know the differences of the current Japan we know and the Japan back in early 1900s. The storytelling, the worldview that the author created made it even more interesting. It doesn't feel like dragged, everything flows smoothly, with all the conflicts to it.

Hope this work get more recognitions as I think this is probably the best romance manga I've read.

So this is a kind of Isekai romance where the main character is teleported to the previous century.

Her previous life in our current epoch is completely useless, and she doesn t even try to go back to her normal life. So the manga just becomes an average and boring romance in the last century between two characters.

Is the romance even interesting? Well, not really, the author tries to over complicate things and it s impossible to tell where the story is going, as characters go left and right without real motives. There s no real objective that leads the manga, all the characters just seem ... to wander in the world without any responsibility (I mean they almost never work or study, it s like they re doing absolutely nothing in their life)

It's hard to like the characters too, they are bland and their chara designs are generic. As every manga from this author, the love interest is a cold man who doesn' t express any emotion (I guess being cold and without soul is considered hot by teenage girls nowadays?). Most secondary characters are just lame excuses to make the plot "progress".

I liked in the manga how the last century was represented though, with some documentation at the end of each chapter showing old buildings, it s pretty cool. Sadly it's not enough to create an atmosphere. The characters are correctly drawn, but the lighting is poor, more than half of the panels don't have backgrounds at all, or drawn with rough lines. That with the generic chara designs... it's just... extremely hard to be immersed in the atmosphere. It lacks a soul.

I still recommend this manga for young girls or teens who want to read a romance with some adventure in the last century. If you're not hooked after 10 chapters, just give up, it will become worse.
