Danganronpa: Naegi Makoto, Jinsei Saiaku no Hi (Naegi Makoto's worst day ever) is a short, 1 volume, light novel that explains the events that led to the enrollment of Naegi Makoto as the Ultimate Lucky Student.
It's a short read that revolves around Naegi, most specifically, his bad luck. Althought it was mostly only about one character, it was enjoyable for the most part and didn't bore me at all.
Overall, a nice read if you're into the Danganronpa universe and would like more insight into the events behind Naegi Makoto and his "talent". If ...

Makoto Naegi's Worst Day Ever is absolutely worth the read for any Danganronpa fan.

On one hand, Makoto might seem like someone obvious to write a light novel about because he's the protagonist. On the other hand, it might seem obvious NOT to write one about him because he’s very generic- clearly so the audience can project themself onto him.

The compromise seemed to be an extremely short light novel at only 25 pages, and I think this was an excellent choice.

If Makoto Naegi has anything going for him, it's his optimism and his luck. He's a very admirable hero because despite how...unassuming he is (lets just ...
