Yondaime Ooyamato Tatsuyuki has: - It's yaoi. - Has a yakuza theme. - A main focus of both manga is trauma and how it affects the victim going forward. - Realistic characters that don't feel cliche. Something that I really liked about Yondaime Ooyamato Tatsuyuki was that it's characters communicate with each other in a believable way and they don't expect forgiveness if they have done something toxic. It's so refreshing to see amongst the flood of BL manga that make the relationship creepy for no reason and then they don't have the characters address the issues/toxicity in the relationship. This is a lot shorter than saezuru it's only one volume  read more

Both are made by the same artist and have the sweet take on love. Both protagonists are hesitant to begin a relationship with their love interest; both relationship's begin with a sexual "mistake" as well.

Both of these feature a yakuza theme and manly men. Also, and the main reason I make this recommendation, is that both mangas share a strong element of unpredictability. The story doesn't go the way you initially think it will. The characters don't behave the way you expect, nor do they take on the roles you think they will at first glance. It's refreshing, surprising, and endearing.

Both share a theme of the yakuza, and both have dark characters struggling with dark pasts. One thing that I liked about both series was the lack of "blushing ukes," if you know what I mean. The uke in TC was very strong willed and independent. The uke in YOT is a uke in position only. Otherwise, he actually has more personality traits of a typical seme than a uke. I like the strong "maleness" of the uke and the seme in both series. They're both very romantic stories when it comes down to it. Yea, they're dark and twisted  read more
