Both mangas have tomboyish heroines who are very athletic. They're both treated like one of the guys, and in Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko; the main guy even thinks she's a dude. As well as thinking Tomo is a boy, Junichirou is also athletic and stupid; unlike Yuuto. There's some comedy in each manga as well. 

Both of them have football and love. But with Seiten Kick-Off you get a lot more romantic action, more comedy and overall it's a lot better. 

Both manga feature deadpan humor and tomboyish heroines who don't like to lose. But Seishun Away has more romance while Takane no Hana has more comedy.
