Both have their caretaker similar of a witch or a heretic being persecuted by the upper organization people. Driven by their anger, both main character decided to decimate every person that hold their path. 

TLDR: Think of Hengoku no Schwester as the first arc of The Promised Neverland, but with a revenge plotline and the "demons" are actually the Catholic church. Sounds interesting right? It has all the elements that I enjoyed from TPN, like mind games, suspense, and characters with personalities that compliment each other. Truly a hidden gem of a manga. This is my first review so apologies if it sounds like crap or I don't do this manga justice. The setting takes place during the age of witch hunts and holy inquisitions. When Protestants were getting more leverage in the region, and getting branded as a heretic meant death. Minor spoilers for first three chapters: After watching her mother being burned at the stake and being sent to a monastery tasked with transforming the daughters of "witches" into nuns, our edgy protagonist, Ella Kollwitz decides to get revenge on those who sentenced her mother to death and escape from the monastery. As someone who's read plenty of mangas I was like, "More edgy revenge plots, woo!", but as I continued reading on I thought to myself, "Hey, this actually ain't so bad!". Give the Manga atleast three chapters for it to start getting more interesting. Just like the Promised Neverland, it has themes of thriller, horror, psychological. The characters have personality and compliment each other as well as the "villains", in the manga are pretty interesting with their own goals and ambitions similar to Isabella. Just a pretty underrated manga if I do say so myself. it's pretty short so give it a shot. read more
