Editora Newpop is a Brazilian publisher founded in 2007 by Junior Fonseca and is known for launching more differentiated content. Currently, it is unquestionably the publisher that works with the largest number of genres, being practically the only one that continuously releases yaoi, yuri, hentai, light novel, gekigá, 4-koma, classics, manhwas, webtoons and Brazilian works series. I only count the editorials that stills publishing to this day: IVREA, Panini Manga, Ovnipress, Kemuri, Utopia, Distrito Manga and Pop Fiction. For me, it's always interesting to see portrayal of Western countries in Asian media. Here's a list of manga in different genres and demographics that are set in or feature Western countries as important part of the plot. I was focusing on modern-ish times(70s onwards), so historical manga will be omitted. First part of the list of manga which got an official Czech translation/got published in Czech. Either coming out or finished, doesn't include manga that has been announced but hasn't come out yet. Because MAL allows only 50 titles into an interest stack max, this list is split up into two parts. Now let it do the Boyys... All manga published by polish publisher Studio JG This series of interest stacks is a list of mangas & light novels that have been or are being licensed and published in Argentina. This DOES NOT include imported physicals originally released in other territories, only manga licensed for the Argentine market. Novels, Manhwa and Manhua are included, however, manga-style non-asian releases are not mentioned here. Any manga missing on MAL will be noted in each stack's description, or in particular entries related to them. Oldish manga featuring characters that evoke the 萌え (moe) reaction as per the standards in the early-to-late 2000's, when the so-called moe phenomenon was at its peak in Japanese wota-culture. The titles I've listed here vary greatly in terms of genre, subject matter, and popularity, but they all hold the moe factor in common (in my opinion, anyways.) Some of the popular titles have resurfaced here in the Western side in recent years as part of an internet-born aesthetic known most commonly as "animecore." |
