This may only be a few chapters long but it sure has one hell of a feels trip. Basically, the story is centered around the robot Praha (often referred to as Hiro-chan) who is created to see how well Robots could blend in with humans. One day she meets a young girl who immedietely strikes her as interesting, from there their friendship takes off. As years pass by the girl eventually falls in love with the robot. Amazing reading!
It's a little short, which makes things feel a little bit rushed during several points of the story, but it is a truly beautiful story nevertheless. It's very interesting to watch the growth of the two main characters - Praha (the robot) and her friend Chika (a child she meets at the beginning). Chika's growth is very visible, of course, being human as she ages it is obvious. The manga spans a total of about 23 years, give or take. What's more interesting is the very subtle growth of Praha over the more than two decades, which is less noticeable at first. She never physically ... |
