So first and foremost- I will let you all know (in case you didn't notice) that this manga is complete and has 16 chapters.
All though this may be a setback for some, hear me out first and then decide.
Mansen Maou Shoujo Ena-sama is a nice little story about this demon king who is hella bored in her world and wanted to conquer another one. In attempting to conquer earth, she finds out that manga is really nice too.
The story itself is very lighthearted. An easy to read manga with enjoyable characters and enjoyable character interactions.
It has a mix of romance, passion (for manga
...
drawing), comedy, and fantasy.
One thing that sticks out the most for me though are the characters and their interactions. The characters in this manga felt 'real' to me. The emotions they show make sense given their scenario and background and seeing the characters interact with one another was simply enjoyable to me.
Now although the story ends at 16 chapters, I believe that's one of the strongest points of this manga.
Some manga go through the perpetual spiral of introducing new characters as to try and shake up a story and have it continue for longer amounts of times. They also tend to rely on the same troupes (like a doki doki moment in romance manga without developing the relationship between the characters, or a power up in shounens while simply introducing a slightly stronger opponent) to get you interested again; dishing out another 100-200 chapters in the process.
This ends up creating this never-ending loop of rising action and no real climax. You can't truly call something a "story" that has no end, and you will never feel a feeling of closure unless the story ends.
This manga however, ends the story at what I believe to be the perfect point. The characters have achieved their original goal, their interactions with one another have been clearly shown through the various chapters, there is no real place to go after that. Thus, it ends it with a nice little bow wrapped around it.
If you're looking for a nice little enjoyable story to grab your attention for a couple of hours, I think you've come to the right place.
