The Seiun Award (星雲賞, Seiunshou) is a Japanese speculative fiction award for the best science fiction works and achievements during the preceding year. Organized and overseen by the Science Fiction Fan Groups' Association of Nippon (SFFAN; 日本SFファングループ連合会議, Nihon SF Fan Group Rengou Kaigi), the awards were given each year at the annual Japan Science Fiction Convention. It is the oldest SF award in Japan, which was first given in 1970 at the 9th Japan Science Fiction Convention and has been awarded every year since that. Worldbuilding - "the process of constructing a world, originally an imaginary one, sometimes associated with a fictional universe." These kinds of manga are usually set in a fantasy and/or sci-fi world, and excel at establishing & showcasing the rules/history/economy of their fictional universe. List was created through collective data from multiple websites of people's answers as to what manga are considered to have great world building. Mangas I think do a great job in making their unique worlds feel alive and lived in by other characters. The world/environment has it's own intriguing tales in a sense and influences the characters' opinions and later on choices somewhat. :D Soothing manga all about making food or commonly has them making food. (or consuming delicious looking snacks or drinks a lot) This is a list of Manga that fall under the 'Cottagecore' aesthetic. The Cottagecore aesthetic romanticizes nature, the countryside and slow living. It consists of peaceful pastoral locations, homemade crafts, and traditional homesteading activities such as cooking, picnicking, gardening, forging, care-taking, etc. Manga that Fujimoto Tatsuki (Chainsaw Man author) mentioned in the Magazine Switch. Could be taken as recommendations. “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” Academically inclined bunch. These are the studious or smart characters that: Manga that involve the use of magic excluding isekai. Do not interpret this list as "reccomendations for series as good as good as Berserk," because you won't get that! But if you like knights, swords and castles and occasionally magic and appreciate those things on an aesthethic level, then you'll find things to enjoy. Part 1 : https://myanimelist.net/stacks/15026 |
