Both are slice of life stories about a group of high school friends with simple art, a calm atmosphere, and everyday situations.

Remove Haruhi and Mori, remove the extreme rich school setting and make them all "commoners" and you´ll have Kimi to Boku. Just imagine Ouran without the boys being hosts but instead, Childhood friends, and with a more slow pacing. Replace Ouran´s comedy with slice of life. You´ll get a cheerful mixed blood blonde, a serious intelligent megane, funny twins, and a fluffy boy that likes cute things living their daily lives in extreme fun. Also, although both center in friendship, both have a love triangle.

Essentially, the focal points of both are: friendship, fun and enjoyment, and turning humdrum everyday life into an extraordinary and momentous one!

Daily life and high school life, featuring randomness and pure enjoyment in a high school boy's life. Comprised of several extraordinarily memorable characters, both will surely keep you laughing and, to a certain extent, make you relate to them.

Both series are mainly episodic, in the humor/slice-of-life genre (with some BL undertones) and revolve around the interactions between young male students.

Ame Nochi Hare is the gender bender/fantasy version of KtB: - Both feature a group of boys hanging out and their daily lives with a touch of romance. - Both have a serious dark haired megane, a cheerful blonde, twins. - Both have an older guy/teacher helping them. - Both have unrequited love and a love triangle.

Teenagers growing up. Friendship, problems, love... Similar art, too.

Both series adapts a casual way of storytelling that expresses friendship and romance. There is a colorful cast of characters that consists of main and female characters. Taking place in a school life setting, we see their daily life experiences. There is an adequate amount of realism especially with it comes to youth. Both series contains lighthearted comedy that is charming and can make almost anyone laugh.
