This is my first review on MAL, please be good to me!

Yuki no Shita no Qualia deals with loss. How do you begin trusting other people, and let them in so you can build meaningful relationships, after being hurt by someone who left you?
The main characters have opposite ways of avoiding deeper connection. Akio shuts himself away from other people. Umi on the other hand has many sporadic relations, but never gives these relations a chance to be serious.
The power of this slow and gentle manga lies in the psychology of the characters. I specially love that Akio and Umi as children run around in ...

Qualia under the snow is truly an underappreciated masterpiece. As much as I love Stranger By The Shore, I wish Qualia was given a sequel and anime instead. This will be an analysis as much as a review and please forgive any typos I missesd. My laptop is currently broken and I had to write this on my phone.

As usual, the art is beautiful. The characters are expressessive and the story is full of symbolism and subtleties. There is really not much more to say on the subject, just take your time to really appreciate the art in the panels. A lot is expressed through ...

Normally I don’t read this type of manga, but I tend to find that the best manga are the ones you haven’t read yet. On top of that, it is completely outside of my comfort zone, so it is nice to read something different. Seen as though it is such a short story, I thought that it wouldn’t bust the bank and brought it while giving me something interesting to read at the same time.

I really enjoyed the story. I had no idea what it was about, I sort of just started reading it and let things unfold. I was then surprised to find ...

I'll explain why I gave it a 6. The manga is well drawn, the art is beautiful but the story doesn't explain anything well. The characters' personalities are not well written and even though it's only 1 volume, I think it could be more elaborate. Another thing that bothers me is this habit of all bl manga where the characters need to be traumatized by their family. What's wrong with them just being happy and deciding it on their own? Anyway, you'll have to read it and draw your own conclusions but I found it to be a weak story, despite the art being beautiful.

I really don't like this manga. It has beautiful graphics and that's where the superlatives end. The characters are bland, each one is samey, there is no plot, there is no drama. It's just a simply manga, in which two boys get to know each other and fall in love as they spend time together. You won't find any emotions or raptures here. It shows the simplicity of falling in love.
It bores me, but if you like calm manga with nice graphics, you can reach for it.

Note - the manga doesn't contain any "bed" scenes, so I think it is suitable for people 14/16+, it ...
