I can only judge on what is out thus far.

I clicked on it because my friend has a joke about wanting to be killed by a Japanese girl. I wasn't expecting much, just something to screenshot him for a laugh.

However, I really enjoy it as it is not as it seems on the surface. Every character has some time for development and the way the story is told helps interconnect the circumstances of this situation. I was expecting something less deep that lacked development when it really is doing a great job thus far on establishing characters and making a solid story line that ... keeps me guessing.

I really enjoy the art, I have begun to read other things by this author who draws women in a very beautiful and unique way.

I hope it updates soon. I really am looking forward to seeing where this goes.

This manga could have been a masterpiece if the author had kept it simple and decided to do what was expected from the story. The premise is that the main character Higashiyama has a vicious wish of being killed by a highschool girl. The start and development were great, the characters are endearing and the art is gorgeous. Unfortunately, the final segment ruined everything for me. The fact the start was so good and my expectations were high are probably the reason why I rate it so low after that disappointing end.

The first chapters do really well in depicting Higashiyama psychological aspects, showing his ruminations ... on his perverted desire, as well as how he plans to accomplish it and all the details such as how the girl must be for him to be satisfied. After that, the story unveil the other characters perspectives in each chapter, and it is quickly evident that the main character is not the only twisted mind in the manga; there's a girl with personality disorder, an Asperger and a stalker. Each character was interesting and so was their relationship. Everything was enjoyable and there was a good build up for the most waited moment, the death of the main character.

It would be great if it have ended with Higashiyama getting killed by Maho in the woods, but everything that the story had accomplished was thrown into the bin with the contrived wholesome end. The Satsuki's flashback was forced and unnecessary, it was good at the start seeing each character perspective, but it felt overdone by this point. It was not interesting seeing the same things again with slight differences to show it was all her plan all along. There was still a twist at the end, showing that Higashiyama still keeps his goals but it didn't prevent my disappointment.

The art is beautiful, the author has a distinct trace easily recognizable if you know other works by him. It is great for depicting the character emotions, it was particularly remarkable for Maho, since it was possible to clearly see what was the prevailing personality by the facial features.

I enjoyed this manga for the most part, but it left a bad taste in my mouth after I finished, it's impressive how it went downhill whilst having only 14 chapters. I would recommend this if you are a diehard Furuya fan, as it has many aspects similar to his other works. I wouldn't recommend it as an introduction to his mangas though, since it's not nearly the best by him.

tl;dr: A manga with an interesting premise but that's it.

The basic premise was strange enough to be interesting in that the main characters goal is to push a girl to kill him in a specific manner without doing anything bad to her and without leaving any evidence that she was the one that killed him. The way the story began setting things up was interesting too, in that from chapter to chapter it shifted perspective from character to character to show off a series of characters that all had decently interesting backgrounds and an interesting relationship web. After all that was setup, it moved on ... to him executing his plan and it looked like things would really get moving.

However, after that it fell completely flat. Maybe I just had the wrong expectations going into this, but I expected the protagonist to be someone smart and manipulative who would come up with an interesting plan and that things would go wrong during the plan and he would have to quickly modify his plans to adapt to the situation, something in the vein of the psychological thriller. This wasn't that at all. The protagonist is pretty dumb and not manipulative at all. His plan was simple to the point of stupidity. And everything playing out was pretty much instant and overall, far too easy, and thus it really isn't thrilling at all.

The ending has a bit of a twist to it, but it doesn't add much and, in the end, doesn't help at all in making the manga more satisfying. Ultimately, the manga was about people with mental issues trying to overcome them, but its half written like a thriller without enough development of the key characters, and thus it doesn't do well at that either. The art was decent.

Ok, just by its name I knew I had to give this manga a chance because it sounded like something that could be amazingly good with such a truculent but honest premise.

The first volume was indeed very promising: the characters were portrayed in a very believable way because they had am extremely rich context development surrounding each one of them. Even the main character had a plausible background to his perverse desire and an extremely crafted plan to finally achieve his most obscure desire but trying to cause the least inconvenience to the assigned perpetrator.

Also, I was pleasantly surprised to find such an ... extensive representation of disorders with such a caring insight and devoid of any kind of prejudice.

That's why I felt really sad of how downhill the story goes all the way through the pages of the second volume. It felt extremely rushed and convenient for the plot how the character's knew a lot of things beforehand, and even though I appreciate plot twits or great reveals in thriller or detective stories, It actually felt like the author left far behind the well crafted characters from the beginning.

I would still recommend that you give it a go because there's a lot of interesting things besides its conclusion. At least I can say that I'm positively intrigued about the author, even more after reading that this is not near one of its best manga. So I'll have to keep on reading, then.
