This manga is apparently based on an rpg I have not played. The story seems like a slice of a bigger jrpg story line. It's a little silly and arbitrary, and I was not engaged by it at all. The setting is a mixed sci-fi and fantasy setting which I personally love, and the whole thing generally whimsical and fantastical.

First of all, this manga isn't a direct adaptation of PS3 RPG Ar nosurge. The story in the manga are different and takes place before the game, so essentially it's a prequel.
It's hard to recommend this manga to people who doesn't have any experience with the series since this manga will assume that the reader are already familiar with the characters and events that happens in the PS Vita game Ciel nosurge, another game from the same series that never got released in english officially.
