Boukyaku no Sachiko is about three aspects of Sachiko's life: her coming to terms with her love lost, her unique and fastidious way of dealing with her often stressful work, and her enjoying various types of superbly drawn food. Through the chapters, we get to see her grow into a more full-fledged person, with deeper relationships and richer palate as well.
The art is a bit on the simple side with clean lines and not many effects, but it does the job well and everything is easy to read. However, the mangaka spared no expense in rendering each of the food. Sauces, meats, and even soups
