Both are emotional, heart-wrenching love stories that eventually depict the couples growing old together. There is also another part that is almost identical, but I'll let you find that one out yourself. :) 

The same feel for a mature and introspective relationship, much more bittersweet in Complex (which can draw tears). Both very nice mangas, although Complex is probably the better of the two.  

both are about the love that grow and both have alot of drama. if you like one you will like the other. 

Both tell the tale about the "younger kid" who has gay "parents" and how he goes on with his life. 

Both are yaoi mangas that go beyond fan service. They are both the rare type that continues the story AFTER the couple gets together with an actual plot that transcends the genre. . SPOILER ALERT!!!!! *The stories start out with friendships that evolve into love, but eventually postponed after one of the characters decide to get married. *The stories eventually end with a reconciliation and the couples staying with each other until the end. Then, the first to go will welcome the other in death, reunited once again (sniff, sniff) *You come to care for the characters and their relationship as the mangaka takes you on a long journey that will stick with you and make you like them. DON'T read if you're looking for freaking one dimensional "no, senpai/sensei - we can't!" - smexy time. What are you waiting for?? Go read mangas like this with ACTUAL "feels", not the good - for - nothing cutesie fluffs or porn.  read more 

The main characters' dynamic is similar. In both manga, the main character becomes a single parent after his spouse passes away.  

Before I say anything, this is a sequel. Paradise View and Complex are very similar in their story. Both start their story out from an early age and the story follows the two characters as they mature and age and the ups and downs of life. 

Although seemingly very different, these are both relatively realistic stories of discovery and finding comfort (in love). Both begin by focusing on the main couple, but as they face ordeals, we begin to see the world around them. What is love? What is loss? What is family? We learn about other (supporting) characters, the other woman, the child... and we are able to watch the couples as they grow old, find happiness and eventually the end of their lives. They can be grim, with moments of betrayal and suffering, but the characters overcome it. There are definite "bedroom scenes", but they are not the focus of the story; it is about the characters living their lives, growing old and the challenges they face as a couple. Both are excellent stories, and they add a refreshing depth to the genre. read more 

Both are romance series where you can watch the main characters grow up from child hood to being adults. Both of them also are pretty sporty, though D-ASH is more revolved around a sport than Complex. Complex is boyxboy while D-ASH is the old fashioned girlxboy. Plus Complex brings the characters all the way to the old man stage while D-ASH stops at the adult stage. I can truly say I loved reading both of them and that though if you love one, you may not love the other (considering the difference in 'types' of romance), but they do relate in many ways and if you don't mind either genre than i'm sure you'll enjoy them both. read more 

The main story in Merry Family Plan reminds me of the manga Complex. Complex tells us the story of a couple as time pass by, the problems they faced after starting a relationship and society issues. In Merry Family Plan too, we have the story of a couple as time pass by, the problems afterwards and so as questions we see in Complex too: "My partner used to be straight...", the pressure of parents for "the ideal family" or "where this relationship is going?". Complex has more drama and more twists than Merry Family Plan, but both carry a more realistic plot when dealing with homossexual relationships. read more 

They both examine a relationship between two people throughout a long period of time, with all the good and the bad times. Practically the both feature same sex marriage.The effort for social acceptance is also a theme that both series have in common. One could say that those two series complete each other. Whatever might have made one feel a bit less satisfied in one is bound to be compensated by the other. 

both have two men trying to raise a boy. and both have a lot of drama and feel about them. if you like one you will like the other.
