Mangaby DevDog67

Manga with exceptionally good artwork, not something that's the same boring black and white generic faces/body types. But instead manga that takes its artwork seriously, the artist knows how to create a scene, give each character unique appearances.

The Sengoku period, also known as Sengoku Jidai (lit. 'Warring States period'), is the period in Japanese history that had many almost continuous civil wars in the 15th and 16th centuries.

The Ōnin War in 1467 is generally chosen as the period's start date and the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600 and its aftermath of Tokugawa Ieyasu being officially appointed as the shōgun in 1603 are generally chosen as the period's end dates. The Sengoku period overlaps substantially with the Muromachi period (1336–1568) and the Azuchi–Momoyama period (1568–1600).

Important historical figures of the era:

Oda Nobunaga
Date Masamune
Toyotomi Hideyoshi (Oda Nobunaga's subordinate and succesor)
Tokugawa Ieyasu (fellow Oda Nobunaga subordinate and succesor that became shogun)
Iga and Koga shinobi military confederacies
