I might as well make a review for this manga, since no one else has, Steins;Gate has been for a long time one of the best series that I have seen, however, the manga adaptations for it normally fail to do it justice. Steins;Gate: Hiyoku Renri no Future Honey is one of the weirdest and more outlandish of the bunch
Story (5): The story puts the cast in a Rom-Com scenario, putting aside the more serious topics discussed in the original series and focusing solely on the comedy aspect of it. The plot puts huge focus on the relation between Suzuha and Daru, and it revolves
...
around the latter mistakenly believing that the former has fallen in love with him, meanwhile, the rest of cast try to persuade him out of it, a simple story, but one that is executed pretty well and makes up for some good comedic moments.
Art (5): The Manga goes for a more simplistic artstyle, and it fits the story pretty well, the problem is that most of the times it just feels rushed, but it was not bad enough to bother me.
Character (6): The cast of Steins;Gate is one of the best out there, and here we see them with his traits exaggerated to the limit, which is not a bad thing actually, because this exaggeration is used for some great comedic scenes, the problem with it is that sometimes it's just too much, especially with Daru, who already has one of the most absurd personalities in the series, and here, he just becomes a nuisance and the focus on him only intensifies this.
Enjoyment (8): Even with all the problems with Hiyoku Renri no Future Honey, I still had fun reading it, i loved the premise of putting the cast of Steins'Gate in a romantic comedy world, and it granted me some good moments, I even found myself laughing out loud sometimes, and the fact that the story is really short helps it, if it had dragged for more chapters I probably would become more and more desinterested in the story, fortunately, this ends up being just a quick comedy that manages to entertain the reader for a while
Overall (6): It has problems, a lot of them actually, but if you're someone who is craving for more Steins;Gate content (like me when I first found this Manga) you won't be disappointed, but if you are looking for a more serious approach to the story go look somewhere else, this one is just a silly, fun read for those who liked the original.
