Story: 10 out of 10.
I'll probably change this once this is over, but currently, this has a REALLY good story. The story hooked me in at the first chapter. I really didn't expect this to be this intense, in a good way.

Art: 100 out of 10. (wish I could score higher than 10...)
SO BEAUTIFUL. Without the art, I don't think I could enjoy this as much as I do. It has this fantasy-like style. Like the pretty ones in fairytales. It clearly shows motion and facial expressions.

Character: 9 out of ... 10
Don't get me wrong. They characters are very cool. But, right now, people seem a little weak. Monica isn't thinking clearly and is just doing stuff by heart. I'm 100% she'll change though. (BUT OMG EVAN IS SO CUTE EEEEE~) Ahem.

Enjoyment: 10 out of 10.
This manga excites me sooo much. Even though I have to wait a month to get a chapter, it truly is always worth the wait. So intense but calm, so calm and refreshing. Calms me down after horrible shojos.

Overall: 10 out of 10.
From the story, to the art, to the characters, and then my satisfaction, this is a truly amazing manga. I think I'll buy one just after seeing it's beauty.

Umi no Cradle is set during the industrial revolution. It is a steampunk manga that revolves around ships and the crew. The main character is a girl in the search of her master, with his master's toddler as her companion. The manga shows about her struggles and tells how she gets used to life as a crew on a steamship named The Lady while being on search.

The industrial revolution is portrayed nicely in the manga, and the steampunk environment just fits it perfectly. The manga is based on the British Empire, from where the main character embarks on her journey. The art is finely suited, ... but not as great as it could have been; the story is about the struggle and hardship of a woman working on a steamship and learning about the crew's life on the ship. The story is light with no heavy topic, making it suitable for a fast read. The pace of the story is normal, and the characters are average. But it is rare to see steampunk manga with a light-hearted story there isn't much manga in that genre; so it is a manga worth the read if you like the historical setting of the industrial revolution and the era of British gentlemen

The story is about an orphan girl who recently lost her master; she now lives with a drunkard who just wants her to get money for him. The story progresses as she runs away from the man to find her master that she thinks is still alive without any clues, and she also takes her master's only son with her. The story is fine, but not really a great one. There are many flaws like lack of details and interest in dialogues. Most characters are barely average when it comes to personalities, and a few are forcibly made to hate and then love them. The art is mediocre at best, with missing details when it comes to expression and faces. The pace is the only thing that is somewhat fine, other than that, most things are barely above average or just mediocre. The thing that is going for the manga is its genre that is rarely seen the steampunk and on top of that, it is about the industrial revolution where steamship ruled the sea that thing kept the manga interesting and bearable. But if you are someone that likes authentic history then I wouldn't recommend this because it is merely set in a historical period, but it is a work of complete fiction.

In the end, I would say the manga had some nice things and some clear flaws. The most interesting thing is its genre, for me, the story itself was fine but not really of my taste. I would recommend it for people who like females as the main character and love to read a short, light heart story.
