Although it's VR in OSO, the fantasy worlds of both series are largely similar in terms of environment and activities. Both MC are very similar in terms of their roles and leisure activities. Also their 'situation', SUCH AS: being believe to be weak because of their abilities, but showcasing otherwise.

Both play in a VRMMORPG world, where the main protagonist is a noob, invited by a friend to play. Both of them chooses not to play the typical main stream build, but go for their own unique way. The genre are pretty similar and you get the same fluffy feeling while reading it. Both main character are likeable cute character, which you love to see more of.

Toaru Ossan no VRMMO Katsudouki and Only Sense Online are stories, that play in a fantasy virtual game world, like Sword Art Online, but without all that drama. You can go online and offline like any normal game, no need to defeat any boss to leave the game and whatsoever. The art is not bad in both of them and the characters are likeable too. I would  read more

They both have a deeply-thinking main character who wants to delve into the game mechanics beyond “smashing” everything and grinding stuff and aims for a support-type role, also both novels are focused purely on the MMO.
