These manga both have a very similar feel to them and both involve the super natural (although in katana its spirits of swords were as in natsume yuujinchou its all kinds of spirits) if you liked one you will enjoy the other.

They are both closely connected to ancient Japanese swords. YT is a lot darker, with the swords being tools for fighting evil, while the Katana Series is a bit lighter, with the problems revolving around the swords themselves. The main characters are also similar, in that they both are easy-going, glasses-wearing guys who don't really want to get involved. They also both come from ancient sword-smithing families.

Both have swords with spirits (in Katana, the swords can be any gender; in Kandachime, the swords are only women), the main protagonist is from a sword smith family as well and can only restore them.

A school boy has supernatural powers but wavers between embracing and rejecting his powers completely. These two manga are otherwise very different but both are some of my favorites.

Katana and Hiraku no Go are similar because a boy can see the spirit attached to an certain object and therefore gets interested in things to do with the object. Hiraku no Go is about a boy that meets a spirit attached to a Go board, and gets interested in Go. Katana is about a boy that can see the spirit of any Katana and gets interested in katana's. Both have a certain educational level for you can learn a lot about some aspects of Japanese culture.
