Set in late Victorian Europe, a young man is caretaker for a girl. Art is quite good. Very dark with some very twisted parts, so for mature readers only.

Older guy with a younger girl romantic relationship. Both of the guys are rich and the main girls are really naive.

In both mangas, a girl who has been abused mentally and sexually heals. Although Antique Romance may have a darker side to it, it's wonderfully drawn pictures and character interaction makes it a highly enjoyable manga.

Both are quite dark stories with an amazing rather similar art style that deal with the doll theme. The fermale characters are quite similar although Song of the Doll is definetely into the more fantasy genre. Overall they have a similar vibe.

They both have the same plot. Mature man and a teenage girl around him.

Though set in different time periods, both stories have a male lead who secretly admires the female lead who is much younger than he. These two male characters are rich and have cold-hearted facades, but are actually kind and gentle. They are also acting as the benefactors of the girls; however, in Glass Mask, the girl is unaware of whom she is indebted to.

They dont have many similarities but the main girls are very alike: long blonde curly hair, white skin and blue eyes. Kuro bara is much more dark then Antique romance.

Both are in the same historical era, both have gorgeous art and a more mature/dark feeling than the usual shoujo. Both are great reads.

In both the main guy is a rich loner who takes in a girl as a "rare item" to add to his personal collection (In AR the girl is a living painting with tattoos; In Kirikagohime the girl is a fairy). Both wonderful artwork.

They both have girls bought for money. In the case of Antique Romance, the girl was bought as an addition to the art collection of a wealthy man. Hadashi de Bara wo Fume on the other hand, the girl was not bought on any auction but she was contracted to become the wife of the guy who bought her.
