Both are about Japanese school kids trying to survive in a very hostile and unfamiliar world where the greatest threat to their lives are the bizarre and powerful creatures as well as other humans. Both have a lot of ecchi scenes as well as action and have in some ways similar art style. Although Lives is significantly more gruesome than Eden No Ori or Caged of Eden, there is still a presence of blood and intestines being thrown around the panels every now and again.

Both titles are quick fun, all out kick ass action titles with plenty of sex appeal along the side. Both also have a very strange and unusual almost invisible plot aside from surviving in a very strange and dangerous world. Another sad similarity is that both titles seem like they are mere prologues to a second season that the mangakas appear to have planned well ahead before they even began the series but for some reason they probably dropped the plans for the second season. Nevertheless they are both quick and fun reads that can be completed in a single sitting

Have a sense of the same story in which there are people who have to survive in a place and with particular strength for each individual. The only big difference is just the type of enemy they fight.

Both are great action titles with a lot of monsters, gore and sex appeal. They both feature great artwork especially the female characters and both titles also have fun and interesting groups of people with varying personalities. Another sad similarity between these two titles is that they both end too quickly so this means that they are great for a quick read and can be easily finished in a single sitting, perfect for those who are waiting for Berserk and other popular titles like bleach and Naruto to be updated. Definitely worthy of your time

The two titles share a similar driving force, namely surviving in a world that has gone completely insane that was brought about by a very quick and catastrophic event (in HotD a zombie virus spreads rapidly throughout the world while in Lives a mysterious meteorite changes the people into beasts) Another similarity is that both titles share a similar art style with plenty of gore and sexual content and death is everywhere. both have plenty of great action scenes and have characters that are quite interesting to say the least especially some of the lead female characters who are more than just eye candy (Still very  read more

Both titles are created by the same mangaka so its a given that both titles share very similar graphical styles and pacing. Both titles are also about survival and a whole lot of blood and sex with plenty of sexy chikas

Both have plenty of fight scenes and a lot of gore with interesting female lead characters. Perhaps the greatest similarity between these two titles is that they both feature characters that turn into powerful and often times grotesque monsters that are almost guaranteed that you have not seen before in terms of design and that is also one of the best parts in these titles (guessing what kind of creature they'll turn out to be)

The premise in both series is similar in that they explore the survival of a group of individuals in a world that has suddenly changed.
