Favorites: 300 Available AtResources | New Interest Stack Interest Stacks![]() ![]() A selection of vampire manga featuring romantic and/or sexual relationships between males. ![]() ![]() Shoujo manga tends to have a reputation for telling the same kind of stories over and over - romances, magical girls, cute animals, fujobait involving a cast of hot guys (often flocking around a hapless female lead), and slice-of-life series starring characters doing mundane things. They tend to be full of fluff or melodrama and are generally low on violence. But not every shoujo title fits into the "usual" categories meant for teenage girls. This list features atypical titles that you probably wouldn't guess ran in a shoujo magazine. ![]() ![]() A selection of particularly interesting manga created for a female audience. Includes both modern and classic titles from a variety of different genres. ![]() ![]() These Boys Love titles feature characters who are drawn together in spite of their very different personalities. ![]() ![]() This stack is a collection of BL manga with a darker setting. It includes psychological themes, dark pasts, underground settings, prison locations, dark fantasy/magic, and other things. The focus is less on the most disturbing stories but more on the overall setting, though some stories here are more messed up than others. Content warning: Some of these manga contain triggering elements like r*pe, abuse, torture, violence, blood, etc. ![]() ![]() Need some shojo mystery don't worry this local edgelord gotcha like i got a pokemon from its now godforsakenly cancerous state lol. ![]() ![]() There is no "scary" manga as such. ![]() ![]() mixed with some non-mystery or non-fantasy victorian era/gothic-style manga ![]() ![]() Derived from several Chatty AF podcasts. ![]() ![]() These are manga titles that ended recently in the shoujo magazine Asuka. ![]() ![]() just some manga I think that bros are a little bit to close or has a lot ship tease for the eyes can see ![]() ![]() A spooky-themed stack list featuring a variety of shoujo manga: from goofy otaku vampires to the creepiest twists on your favorite fairytales, you'll find the perfect shoujo thrill for your heart here! ![]() ![]() I tried to compile an extensive list of the English Licensed Shojo and Josei manga titles where romance is a sub-plot at best, if present at all (many of these don't have any romance present). ![]() ![]() I'm defining "modern" Shojo and Josei manga to mean anything that began being published in 2013 or later. Obviously personal taste plays a role in whether you'll like something. I'm also trying to focus on Shojo and Josei manga licensed in English officially, so some excellent stories will sadly be missing from this list (they should probably get their own at some point). |
